Even when I signed in with the code that was emailed, it didn't lower the price at checkout. For example, the promo eligible DF tattoo was the same price as on KC.

I’ve derailed this thread enough but in conclusion I found out that the owner of Endgameedc is ZenL and apparently he is shady guy. Promoting his own shop on the forum while acting like he isn’t associated. I thought that was a rule broken but guess not idk. Anyway it’s also apparent that he made some friends and they support him which is their choice. I’m just unhappy that other shops that use to offer discounts can no longer because of him directly or indirectly. I can’t support rats and won’t give my business to one no matter if they are offering discounts “now”. It’s your business if you wish to shop a failing business. I’m usually very considerate to the people on this forum and I wish no quarrels. I felt it noble to point this out when I saw a member promoting something I believe to be shady. There are connections to Reddit and ZenL even mentioned some. With this I’ve spoke my peace have a happy New Year and good luck!

Thanks for pointing that out man, some of us (me) had no idea, but I have not done business with him to my knowledge. I try to be very selective anyway, but these days it's very hard to know exactly what's on the up and up at times...

What shops are you talking about? Spyderco specifically states in their MAP policy that dealers can sell at whatever prices they want to. Nothing at all is blocking them from offering customers discounts - it's just limiting the methods by which discounts are advertised.

And to be clear, are you in favor of stores violating their contractual agreement with Spyderco to be a dealer? It's not like I fabricated anything or said that others were doing something they weren't.

I now know to stay in my lane and control what's within my own house, but at the time, I was naive enough at the time to believe following hard contractual rules was important. I saw shady things happening with other dealers that they were obviously trying to hide, and I made the mistake to speak up about it. I also certainly wasn't the only dealer who had concerns about the state of the MAP policy, but the people of Reddit decided to make me a target of their vendetta.

I haven't spoken with Spyderco about MAP since May, so I am confident I had practically nothing to do with the creation of the updated MAP policy.

Still, I truly do respect you for doing what you feel is right and sharing the "truth" - I think we are alike in that way, or at least a previous version of me was.

Sorry about that - I had set the date incorrectly on my end, but got it fixed when I woke up this morning. Should still work for a few more hours until the new MAP policy kicks in. I can still honor these deals after the new MAP policy goes live, just send me an email.

Thanks to all who have ordered and enjoyed the closing sale. There is a massive backlog of orders to fulfill and I've made great progress getting a huge load out today. The rest will go out Friday, since tomorrow is a USPS and UPS Holiday.

And for what it's worth, I absolutely loathe reddit. Every account I've made ended up getting perma-banned within 48 hrs because I can't stand the smarmy, "akshuuuuly", holier-than-thou attitude of the typical redditor. Your life and mental health will be 1000x better if you stay away from that cesspit for good.

Receipts say I paid $90 for a Hap40 Delica in 2015 and an inflation calc says that's around $123 today. Seems about right.
