Ebay insists that listings like these don't violate their rules (though they don't refute the claim that the items are counterfeit), I guess they really don't give a crap about being even slightly ethical when it comes to IP/brand/copyright/patent protection...

Re: All the fake Spyderco, and then some...
Whether a discussion on fake Spydies or AI, the source of info is the most important factor. Past that, the old adage of “if it’s too good to be true, it probably is” rings true.
If someone doesn’t know anything about Spyderco knives, they should avoid eBay and maybe even Amazon like the plague. Spyderco’s official network of retailers or the factory store should be their move.
This does fix the issue of eBay fraudsters but it’s all we can do unless manufacturers want to engage in a class action lawsuit or something.

I can't be certain what criteria the Ebay bot uses to give auctions like these a pass as accepted content, but I assume that the reality is that sellers can do an easy end-run around the prohibition of selling counterfeit goods by just not using the trademarked name of the counterfeit product in the item description ...even if the photos of the item clearly show those protected IPs.
Ebay's treatment of the situation is very disingenuous.
...and yes, a class action is really in order, but I suppose that if the math shows the damage from counterfeiting is less expensive than the potential cost of legal action, we get the current state of affairs as the result.
