I used my Manix2 for cutting Walnut veneer for a Sheraton bed headboard.

I am in the process of tearing out old carpet in a rental. Used my m390 Para 3 to cut it into more managable pieces.

Just got myself a new computer/work desk at home. I've been on the same desk since 2000 and it really started to show its age, and I also just upgraded to a larger monitor which wouldn't fit the old desk. The new desk came in two huge double wall boxes so I got to spend a lot of time cutting it down to fit into trash bins.

I love the Bodacious so much because it's very "low focus", I don't have to put any thought into how I hold it, do my fingers line up on grooves, would it be better if I choke up on the choil, I just gorilla fist it and go at it. It never feels like the wrong knife for the job.

Police broke down boxes from yesterday....and opened this!

Prime 1 and Super Metroid have been in my top 10 since they came out. This was announced back in 2018 or 2019. Been a long wait! Excited to dive in. Played the demo a bit and the twin stick controls felt great.

I have a Mexican pine kitchen table which I bought to use as a kitchen table in 1998 or 1999. I don't 100% remember where I got it, but it was probably Sears or someplace like that. I've been using it as a desk since the early 2000s. It has no drawers as you might expect, but I also have some matching end tables, so one of those gets used for a printer stand and storage. I've bought desks for my kids. My table is way more solid than when compared to most available computer desks. With it being a table instead of a desk, there's way less stuff to bang my knees on too.Evil D wrote: ↑Thu Dec 18, 2025 5:59 amJust got myself a new computer/work desk at home. Just got done touching up 5 of our most used kitchen knives. Decided it was time for the Sharpmaker rods to get a bath. Looking clean and ready for work!

Clean rods FTW! I think my CBN rods are beyond help though. Unfortunately they bore the brunt of me learning to use this type of sharpening surface

My old ones need a bath too, and I need to add some cbn or diamond.
Re: What did you use your Spyderco for last?
I also clean my Sharpmaker rods with Bar Keeper's Friend on a regular basis. It makes a big difference in my experience.
As much as Spyderco knives are a passion, I also get huge value out of Spyderco sharpening equipment. I regularly use a Sharpmaker, CBN SM rods, a double sided CBN bench stone, a medium ceramic bench stone, and a Doublestuff 2 (fine ceramic/ CBN).
My latest knife is a GEC watch pocket barlow. I am giving the edge some attention, as factory edges are not GECs strong suit.

One of the side benefits of looking in on The Forum is I get reminded that I have one knife or another and that lately it may have not been used as much as it deserves . In another thread I expressed an opinion on my Kapara . That made me want to get it out and handle it ; confirm to myself what I said about it.
