Man I hope it is jigged bone. Really excited about this one!
I'd love for it to be jigged bon ! Well, if it's plain, colored girafe bone or something like that it will still be fine :winking-tongue

Makes me wanna come back to one of my linered Native 5 and put some ti bolster on, with like warthog scales ! Now that this idea is in my head, I think it's gonna stick...
I'm glad it has bolsters. That alone on a Native 5 seems really cool.

Definitely full speed ahead on your Native 5 idea!

The scales seem to have an amber color, and lack of shadow makes them seem smooth. Bone, or maybe translucent G10?

Any insight on the steel? I'd guess 50/50 chance of either Damasteel or SPY27. I'd prefer SPY27, but no matter what I'm gonna buy this thing so hard it'll make Sal's desk shake.

Lol make Sal's desk shake! Good one!

Maybe 15V with it not being able to be produced anymore it would add to the rarity.

I am quite stoked this is a Native 5, and with liners and bolsters! I have plenty of liner less N5s, which are great. This one is gonna be special.

My curiosity is piqued! Is the bolster material really Schempo Damascus, or something else? Meteorite?

Is that orange bone?! :cheap-sunglasses :collision

I will be willing to more than I'd like to admit.

I hope, but doubt it will be bone. The Glessers seem to not like natural material scales very much, considering the high risk of shrinking, warping or cracking.

Hopefully we will see this before December, that would be a long time to wait.

This might be the first time I get a Spyderco purely for collecting, it will be something special.

Yes i know, and i have some too, but i have heard Eric say and Sal write about their concern for natural material scales.

Some stabilized bone nowadays are pretty reliable. Could be this, could be anything else too :p

I think it'll be purely for the collection too @WilliamMunny. But I'll still carry it and use it on very special occasions. What I hope for is for it to be available elsewhere than on Spyderco's website. Otherwise it'll add hundred of euros for importing it !
:respect In the collection :respect : Lots of different steels, in lots of different (and same) Spydercos.

I would love some interesting handle materials, but realistically I’m in no matter what it’s made of (I tentatively draw the line at Sal’s old socks micarta 😉). I’m not really a collector so this will be a user for me, but I would love to get two - one to use and carry, and one to keep pristine on display. I hope the limit is 2.

That sounds almost as if the color were "golden". ;)

Seems appropriate.

That is good news. Nothing makes me not want to drop several hundred on a knife like urine colored plastics

Glad for that. Ultem is a fad I wouldn't mind going away, literally as soon as I heard about it!

btw Nick did you ever get your 2nds sale haul sorted? I'm sure myself and others would enjoy any update! I keep thinking about how heavy your shopping basket must have been lol

I wonder if this 50th Native will be released in Magnamax steel? That would certainly get people talking about it
