I took care of my mother up until 04/23/2025, and before that I helped take care of her boyfriend. It is hard mentally and physically to take care of others. Make sure that you reach out to social services and get rest.

Make sure you go on Facebook to enter, I just wanted to make sure everyone on the board was aware of it.

Definitely take care of yourself too. Had to help my mom while she was in hospice care for cancer before she passed away. It was a long year, hard to watch. She was only 70.

I must admit, I went and got back on Facebook, just because of this post and finding out Spyderco has a presence on FB and was curious to what was on there.

I haven't been on FB in years. I did admit that I was not sure about which list I was on lol... some days it's one list and other days it's the wrong list lol.

It’s worth checking their Facebook page, especially recently they have been posting promotions. They did some giveaways this summer, a pumpkin carving contest and now this promotion. I will post them when I see them but you still need to be on Facebook to enter.

Your right, heck I have needed to get back on FB for a while now. Got into it with some family on FB with their feelings getting stepped on by me and mine years ago.

I use to enjoy the different fishing knots and techniques shared there and a host of other stuff. So thanks, I needed a swift kick in the tail to get back on and please do share stuff here. I didn't know that Spyderco had the site there, but doesn't surprise me.

Amen brother! I've never created an account, never will. Some people would do anything even for a chance at something free. Heck it could even be for a sticker and it would be blown up around here

You heard they were giving away free stickers... where, when, how? haha just kidding.

I use Facebook to stay in contact with old high school / college friends that I don't regularly talk to or lost contact with. I just found out this summer via Facebook one of my best friends from high school died. I had not spoken with him in close to 20 years but still very sad to hear he passed away. Without Facebook I probably would have never known and I was able to speak to his ex wife to get a lot of the details.

what has earned me a spot on the nice list...? yuck. no thanks. why would i want to convince anyone with why i'm worthy of a handout? don't get me wrong... i'm not opposed to giveaways in the least, but asking people to sell themselves by sharing their good deeds just seems gross to me.

This is sort of where I landed with it. Don't get me wrong, cool contest! But I just can't quite get there. If it was something like 'nominate why X person should get a free Spyderco'...then I would definitely participate to talk someone else up for sure.
