The Leaf Jumper is tooled for FRN, so if you, the market, wants a sprint run in the future, no problem.

This knife would be an awesome platform for the LC200N steel. LC200N is really way good steel... This knife would really compliment the steel together.

Dang Spyderco does this, I will probably be inline for one of these too, and I really like my knives big, much bigger lol. I do see the neat factor about these though.

Just used mine to slice up a bunch of cardboard. Reminded me why it’s one of my favorites. Super slicey blade, very comfortable handle with no choil in the way, and blade right up the the edge for massive power and control. K390 is great too. Sad this one didn’t catch on, it’s slept on.

Most people like the Leafjumper because of its handle, which i agree is very comfortable. However, what drew me to the Leafjumper was not the handle, but the blade. If you look at it from the back of the Spydie hole to the tip, it is an up-sized Caly 3 blade, my favorite knife! So, while the handle is great, the blade is really why I like it and continue to admire it! Here is a photo with the Caly 3 in back and Leafjumper in front. See what I mean?

Well during the Black Friday sales, I picked up a Leaf Jumper K390 SE. It's my first handle forward Spyderco. I started off in the early 90's with a Delica but found I really prefer a finger choil on my Spydies. Current favorites are the PM, PM2, PM3 and Manix styles in plain edge configurations. I have a lot of Spyderco's exotic steels, but not one in K390. Good enough excuse to get another Spyderco and to give a full serrated edge another try.

We were cooking up a 13lb Turkey for dinner and we decided to Spatchcock it. We didn't have shears in kitchen, so out came the LJ K390 SE. It made quick work of cutting the turkey and felt like I was using a electric sawzell as it cut so well. I don't think a plain edge would of cut that backbone as easily, but I forgot to do a comparison. Handle Forward felt great in my hands (xxl glove size) despite my affinity for a finger choil.
Lock up was solid and no noticeable blade shift that one gets with some back locks. I'm a compression lock kinda guy but this knife will get some pocket time. Handle feels better in my hand then a Delica/Endura.
I got the knife to try the K390, get reacquainted with a serrated edge and use for yard work/gardening.

I'm glad I picked it up to add to my extensive collection of Spyderco's.

I figure we´re talking "Seki-steels" (so stuff like MC is not an option at the moment)?

Then (and generally anyway!) HAP40 would be great - and I personally also love the burnt orange scales on those Seki sprints, though I know the color is a bit controversial.

I can also imagine that some would like a Salt version, which probably would mean LC200N (or H2) in that case?

And, Sal, I can recall when several people (yes, including this guy) were wishing for an a bit longer blade, at one point you were thinking about giving a new run of the Leaf Jumper just that - would that be an option in a sprint?
Just so that the Jumper would offer about Endela cutting edge length...?

I think HAP40 and CruWear would be fantastic options for the Leaf Jumper. The K390 variants are excellent.

Serrated Salt would be my request. I love the Leafjumper, it is so well balanced and lightweight.

A LeafJumper Salt in Magnacut or LC200N would be amazing. And a version in Cruwear or PD#1 would also make me a buyer.
