I noticed the Endura mainly comes in FFG to include the CE thin line series.
Why does the black CE and SE only come in Saber grind with no FFG option other than the discontinued thin line series? Is it just "old stock" and everything is just moving to FFG or is there a reason for that grind?

Re: Endura - FFG vs Saber
It's been said those are the "tactical" versions so they kept the thicker grind and tips
Re: Endura - FFG vs Saber
A question I have asked a lot too, I even say that a plain, jane VG10 SE Endura but in ffg instead of the only available sabre grind could be my most perfect EDC folder (since VG10 is great for teeth imo and profits from the clearly longer edge holding serrations generally offer).WilliamMunny wrote: ↑Wed Dec 03, 2025 1:37 pmI noticed the Endura mainly comes in FFG to include the CE thin line series.

There was an ffg SE Endura though with the K390 variant, sadly discontinued now (and of course the Pac Salt SE in LC200N comes in ffg too)
That said: I definitely see use cases for the sabre grind Endura and Delica (and would want those to stay in the lineup if a VG10 SE ffg option got available) for reasons I may repeat once more:
1.) Supersturdy blade, especially tip: My sabre grind, combo edge Delica actually is my most "hard use" folder. Super rigid, sturdy blade and a tip that really can take a beating in those situations where I just don´t have the time to watch a bit for the tip and might hit metal or other hard matter when working with the knife
2.) The sabre grind Enduras and Delicas are actually pretty good for whittling / biting deep into wood: This is because as a consequence of the very obtuse primary grind the secondary grind goes higher up the blade than with ffg in a given angle. So the blade can bite deeper before the shoulders hit the material (not the same, but a technically a bit like with a scandi grind).
Even better than true sabre would be hollow sabre grind though, just like the old stainless steel Enduras and Delicas offered...
