Speaking of evolution, it's interesting to observe that the topic of this thread, Things That Upset You? evolved into Things That You Hate?

What has a tendency to upset me is laziness, and the multitude of ways that it manifests itself in human behavior.
To every complex problem, there are numerous, simple, easy-to-understand wrong answers.

Get rid of them? Where? In camps?
That's some pretty vile stuff you're spouting. I guess you never heard of live and let live.

indeed Piet, hate is useless, it will only inflict damage on yourself.

I get upset about many of the things that have already been posted. I think that the root of most of those things is a lack of personal responsibility, and can be percieved as laziness, lack of common sense, or downright danger to others.
The concept of entitlement ( the belief that the world "owes" you something), bugs me to no end. ( I only learned this word a few months ago, before that I used 4-letter words to describe the same thing  )
On Homosexuality, I don't have any problems with this anymore. I used to be approached fairly often, but with age, this has stopped. I've had several good friends oner the years that were gay (male and female); once I made myself crystal clear about my preferences, these people could become friends.
It's the overall, invasive, yet oblivious mindset that bugs me most. This seems to be the cause of most of the things that I could list individually.

The above post bugs me. I don't know if anyone here is familiar with the facts about the U.S. The United States has NO OFFICIAL LANGUAGE. English, Spanish, Portugese, Chinese, French, Russian, or anything else for that matter is acceptable for anyone to speak. The inscription on the Statue of Liberty says "Give us your poor, your tired, your huddled masses yearning to breath free" and it isn't followed by "but only if they can speak to us."

Note to self: Ranting while drinking is not the best idea...

Jim:
As far as abstaining from normal urges and feelings... I've been single for over 3yrs, and have no desire to be connected to anyone. Most of what I have seen is just a facsade anyways. As is emotion(but me and emotion is a whole other topic).

If one hates those who don't reproduce and one hasn't reproduced, does one hate oneself?
My existance is not fueled by a need to procreate, but rather the quest for knowledge is what drives me. If I was required to find a companion for life, it would be one to learn with, to expand what I know and seek new answers to new questions. While truth is a 3 sided sword(your side, my side and the definitive truth without interpretation), what IS the answer, since none of us can take a truely impartial view on information?

davec:
paegan view, "an' it harm none, do as ye may". Knowledge and power itself are not good or evil, simply how they are handled and used is. As far as "getting rid of them", that was a poor choice of words. I'm refering to the fact that if homosexual and bisexual behavior ceased to exist in the near future, how much of a blip on the timeline of evolution would there be? 6.5million years as compared to the last 30yrs with homosexual behavior becoming normal and blending into society.

Piet/Jim: While hate may be a powerful emotion, emotion as a whole is wasted energy. I shut out emotion 6yrs ago after an event, became neutral as far as emotion goes. I do not experience joy, sorrow, hate, love, fear. There is only logic and instict.

Why do people worry more if you argue with your voices than if you just talk with them? What about if you lose those arguements?

No matter what kind of person you consider yourself, or what you think you did 6 yrs ago, humans don't exist without emotion. It impossible to be completely without it no matter how close you think you may have come.

Ahh yes the three sides of truth...and often they fail to ever meet. :D

Let me boil it down to what I see. Things that upset Vamp.: homosexuals and bigots. Upon inquiry to this apparent hypocritical statement you clarified that it isn't anything about homos except their failure to reproduce as the reason they upset you, thereby ruling out yourself as a bigot, because you are open to many cultures and differing ideas (per other statements you have made). When it was pointed out that some homos. do reproduce, or contribute to society in other ways, not to mention that many heteros. don't reproduce, yourself included, you state that a quest for information is the ulitmate. Are you saying, homosexuals are incapable of this same quest for knowledge? Ok, exactly what is your problem with homosexuals? Your existance is not fueled by a need to procreate yet you hold homosexuals to this standard? I fail to understand your logic in this matter. What upsets you about homosexuals that doesn't upset you about you? That is my question sir. If you stick to your guns and say it is due to their failure to reproduce, I will be forced to see you as a hypocrit in this matter. :(

........virtually everything when my medication is due and almost nothing when it kicks in! :)

I am a great believer in live and let live. If the action of others does not affect me directly, I try to ignore bad behaviour, extreme religious beliefs, stupidity and bigotry. The problem is, these days it seems to impact directly on me on almost a daily basis!

My big problem with homosexuals is the behavior. Every other culture seems to blend in, yet the homosexual community makes no attempt. Blatent signals to everyone, celebrations that say "hey, treat us special", changes to strict orders that have existed for eons, and the desire to do anything but be productive.

As far as homosexuals and the quest for knowledge or the betterment of society(in regards to an earlier mention of a large amount of them being in the arts), if that is how they choose to be productive, then all the better. But with the homosexuals that I have worked with, gone to school with, or met while I'm out drinking, the vast majority of them are more concerned with having a group orgy and smoking a bowl than anything else.

While I'm very aware that a homosexual could come along and give thier viewpoint of what they think of hetrosexuals and the subsequent behavior they percieve("you're sticking it in where? nasty"), or have a time oriented person come along and complain about those of us who do not live by the clock, this is my side of the sword.

Ok cool vamp. Actually I tend to agree with you on a demand to be treated special...that goes for any group that wants to be treated special and get special treatment...I believe someone mentioned entitlements. I fear that much of America is going the route of entitlements rather than hard work...bumms me out. :(

I had typed up a very very lengthy post to prove how homosexuality has existed more than a trend like you like to believe, it has been around since humans have decided to record their history. I guess that makes it a thousands of years trend then. Also in the mini essay I tried to counter all your points, but then it hit me, either way, it is pointless.

I am very disappointed in how ignorant people can be on these forums. This is an absurd topic to be discussing, HATING one group of people because they don't reproduce but being okay with all the other ones that don't reproduce, the logic behind this is entirely devoid. Obviously you have problems with homosexuals that you are not vocalizing. Even if it was vocalized, it wouldn't change a thing. It seems to me that you don't really know what you're talking about and have an innate fear of homosexuals without any real rationale.
