Thanks guys @legOFwhat? @standy99
Can't wait to see what comes next then !
I have to admit that even if it is time consuming and I'm deep into folders now, going back to something that is known is nice, and I have new tools in my skillset that are fun to apply to this

I like how you keep the handle further back from the ricasso, and give it the clearance chamfer.

Re: Show your Mule
Thanks, I've moved these lines a lot through the past versions and for the last ones It has setteled. I think I forgot to post some but my aim is now to have the handle clim the nub just a bit at the bottom and stop before the flat ends at the top. Since I often pinch grip for many things I like to give a steep (60+°) angle to go into the blade too
@Manixguy@1994 That's the best thing about it according to the people who now have one at home or come play with my Mules
When I started working on it I immediately ordered another AEB-L for myself, can't live without this one

Keeping a copy of one of your photos for my next build. Agree with the shape and position of the front of the handle. Both functional and aesthetic. I would be proud to own the mule in your pictures. My one desire would be to reduce the "pregnancy" of the handle's belly a bit (would require re-shaping of the blank) but that's just a personal preference for a slightly more neutral handle.

Looking forward to see how you apply it to your taste ! I personally love the palm swell in the tang, but it works mostly for small/medium hands, if your hands are larger, it might not be as comfortable.

Re: Show your Mule
I don't know how to explain my relationship with palm swells, but I'm not the biggest fan of them. I wear either L or XL gloves but hand size doesn't seem to explain it. For some reason I like a more neutral handle, even though they look boring.
But one thing I must admit: Palm swells LOOK cool! Sexy, even.

Mule appreciation from the sharpening bench, the venerable K294 in @FullScaler scales. What a workhorse this knife has been, and it's back to being extra crispy:

Re: Show your Mule
Really it’s just a vine like pattern. It is also a different way to add jimping which I wanted because I added a finger choil to choke up on the knife. When I choke up I place my thumb on the spine. In addition to that the spine now strips wire pretty well

Oh, cool cool. Good looking Mule.
Re: Show your Mule
Thanks. I still need to sand the Kirinite scales a little more but I need to get more sandpaper first. The stuff clogs up sandpaper pretty quick. Not sure I’ll use it again.

Re: Show your Mule
Hey Jeb,
File work on the spine of a knife is pretty common with custom makers, just for show.

I'd love to see some more pictures of that sheath and one with the knife in it. That looks pretty neat!

Actually, it's quite impressive the way you all have picked up and breathed life into the whole Mule Team project. We were concerned that offering the "blank" with no handles or sheaths might be a deal breaker, but seeing the skills and sharing that has resulted is refreshing.
