Re: Dyad Jr. SPY27 Release
Looks about perfect for in pocket carry. Mine is waiting for me to open up when I get home from work today!

If inventory moves this fast, I’m not too optimistic this will find its way to my mailbox
Re: Dyad Jr. SPY27 Release
These are selling quick. I’m wondering if it’s just the premier shipments.

Re: Dyad Jr. SPY27 Release
Yeah, with how quickly they’ve been going I think (and hope) there’s way more to come. Seemed like many places have had none up for sale at all, but I don’t have email notifications set up to prove that to myself.

Re: Dyad Jr. SPY27 Release
I got lucky. I just randomly checked SMKW, they were listed as “in stock”, add to cart, check out, bing bang, then listed “out of stock”!

Down to 1. (I finally got in before a place that had them sold out, yay! Haven't seen a sprint run snapped up this fast in a while)mikey177 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 25, 2025 4:01 am4 in stock at SNK at this time

Re: Dyad Jr. SPY27 Release
I was thinking, how useful could this be in real life ? Did anyone put it to work ? I only wish they released the full size Dyad. I might snatch one anyway given the european dealers bring this little sucker in stock soon enough.

Re: Dyad Jr. SPY27 Release
Very useful. I carried my old Jr. quite a bit once upon a time; worked fine for most of my day to day needs, with most cutting using the serrated blade, and the plain one for precise/delicate cuts (It's a scalpel). Same idea as a small multi-bladed traditional slipjoint, just with a lock.
Re: Dyad Jr. SPY27 Release
I never saw my grandfather carry anything bigger and he managed a farm that was full of a wild assortment of animals that were shown at state fairs, from peacocks to even a couple camels. He always carried some type of small multi blade slip joint and got by just fine. I'd say it depends on what you really do with a pocket knife.
I have one of the original FRN Jr's and a full size version and honestly I'm way more likely to carry the Jr because of convenience, whereas the full size is a pretty hefty size and weight and the ergonomics aren't the best for the kinds of uses I'd use a larger knife for, I find I'd rather just carry two knives. But the Jr can be dropped into a 5th pocket or backpack and you get a whole lot of cutting ability in an insignificant package. It's not a knife I'd choose as my dedicated EDC, but it'll be going into my backpack for sure.

I now have ordered two. My wife saw the pictures so the first one goes to her.
I get the next one!

I got the Dyad in today, and I immediately want to switch the blades so it's friendly for lefties. LMAO

I rebuilt a C44 that way for The Deacon years ago. I don't think it's possible with the FRN version.

Looking at it, you're right. In order to do what I want, you'd need mirror image scales.
