Why Movies Just Don't Feel "Real" Anymore

Jim
Jim,

He's not wrong.

The older movies do actually look better when shot on location.

I believe that a lot of the issues with the newer movies is they are considered content these days as was pointed out in another video.

That and the massive post processing they do which in my opinion is garbage.

I think the artistry is pretty much gone and we are left with garbage when all they care about is the bottom line.

Jim

Very true.

Anyone remember this detective show?
I Pray Heaven to Bestow The Best of Blessing on THIS HOUSE, and on ALL that shall hereafter Inhabit it. May none but Honest and Wise Men ever rule under This Roof! (John Adams regarding the White House)

Follow the Christ, the King,
Live pure, speak true, right wrong, follow the King--
Else, wherefore born?" (Tennyson)

The only thing I remember about that show
was that he parked his Thunderbird inside his home.

If you have ever been in Las Vegas in the summer
that scene does indeed require "the suspension of disbelief".

Surprisingly, I do not. I never saw it.

Although, wasn’t there a more recent, short-lived reboot, maybe in the 2000s? I seem to recall something called “Vega$” being advertised around that time, though I never watched it, either. Or maybe I imagined it?

Thanks. I hadn't watched much serial TV at all for many years.

"I Hanker for a Hunka Cheese"

I'd almost forgotten this one, but I remember it clearly now. I think it was part of the "Schoolhouse Rock" educational series of animated shorts that aired in between Saturday morning cartoons in the mid-1970s.

Jim,

Yes, I remember seeing it after school. I remember it coming on right before Looney Tunes and Popeye cartoons came on over here. That was back in the early ‘70s.

A Very Brady Sequel (1996)

I really liked the two Brady Bunch spoof movies from the '90s. They really got the perfect cast, and the characterizations were spot on, especially the girl who played Marcia Brady.

I still remember the Friday night primetime lineup in 1970 (IIRC, when I was in 1st grade): The Brady Bunch, Nanny and the Professor, and The Partridge Family.
