MicroJimbo 15v

Might as well get a lil native save $42. Blade length difference is .03” from 2.42 to 2.45. Same thickness and lock type. Only difference is shape and grind.
I hope they will be releasing the 3.2” in 15v!

I mean, they're totally different designs with different objectives

If you want the tactical wharncliffe, you're gonna want the microjimbo regardless

My 15V MicroJimbo has been fantastic. I’m still impressed by it when I use it.

The Native has already been released in 15V, both the G10 and LW.

Still trying to figure out the point of this thread — maybe it’s just Saturday and I’m tired.
There are quite a few comparison photos and discussions about both the Micro and Lil models here.

The MicroJimbo is an amazing design, but I’m personally holding out for the Yojimbo in 15V.

PS oh and Native Chief 15V.
Recent favourites: Massad Ayoob CPM CRU-WEAR PE & SE, Yojimbo 2, Lil' Temperance 3 K390.
Looking to add: Spyderco C131CFP Terzuola Slipit.

My friend took a trip to the Spyderco Factory Outlet and brought me back this awesome 15v Microjimbo. I love the ergonomics on this. I was always a huge fan of the Yojimbo 1 & 2 and this definitely delivers.

You like the ergos, so a question for you: Where do you place your index finger on the Micro? On the forward flat part of the handle, or in the indented part? If the forward flat part, does your index rest on the small ricasso at all?

For edc and utility tasks, I’ve been using mine in a pinch grip most of the time. With that wharnie shape, it’s a great little blade that cuts well above its weight.

Pinch grip! Yes, that makes sense now that you mention it. Thanks!
Do you think you'd also use a pinch grip if you were forced to use it for SD?

It’s hard to say. I don’t practice for that kind of thing and when adrenaline is going, it would all depend. A hammer or Philipino grip would be better for sd.

I’m 100% over compression locks with small blades after my Lil native opened in my pocket and gave me a love bite.

Save yourself even more money (and the stitches) and get yourself The lil native lightweight - I hear it’s better than both the lil native and the Microjimbo.

Microjimbo is best Janich design for me. When You watch the video of him talking how it was created. Awsome😆Basicaly destiled all the great things to the small package. I love the smooth lines, no jimping, fits my larger hand more than I thought would be possible.
I dont use knives for self defens, they are tools for me. Wharncliffe blade are package opener, box cutter and utility knives. Microjimbo 15V is box cutter from heaven👌
