Living the lazy life
My automatic ran out of juice while wearing a G-shock a couple of days for some abusive tasks, so when the time came to switch - it was much easier to pick up a quartz watch that was already up to speed. And so it has been for most part of a month now :)

Re: What watch you're wearing?
Experimental carry day. Trying out new stuff.
I finally got hold of a Swick a few weeks back, but it's not the kind of knife that can fill any role, so today is really the first opportunity I've found to clip it to my belt.
I kind of quit buying watches, but like a true addict I found the perfect justification to buy a new one :)
To sell off as many watches as possible, I wanted one that could replace multiple. One might say that describes just about every watch purchase, but I really hope there is some substance to my assessment this time :)
The watch is a Vaer C5 with solar movement. It came from Vaer with a black PVD bracelet and a black tropic rubber strap.
I've worn it briefly with the bracelet, which suits the watch very well.
Today I'm wearing it on a green canvas strap with a (for me) totally new trick up its sleeve. It's a strap from Swedish company Tapster, that has an embedded chip for contactless payments. The wearable payment concept is really the only feature I miss from my brief experience with smart watches. With this strap I'm hoping to mix the best from both worlds, and have a classic analogue watch that I still can use for payments in a pinch.

Edit to add: it's not only a new watch, but it's my first blacked out watch that isn't a digital G-shock.
I've considered one many times, but I always play it safe and go with the plain jane version. Not this time though.
