I have an affinity for trad slips, modern takes on the trad slip, Civivis, Finch knives and a couple others…

But I’m at LEAST 50% Spyderco…probably much higher…

Virtually 100% Spyderco.

Unless you count utility knives, which I buy and use lots.

When I started collecting pocket knives I was all over the place when it came to brands. After purchasing my first Spyderco (para 3) I have pretty much bought Spyderco exclusively. The reason I prefer Spyderco is I've become kind of a knife steel nerd over the years. And Spyderco really scratches that itch. So many different types of steel to choose from. There's really no other knife manufacturer that compares with the sheer variety of steels.

246x Spyderco I’d say more than 50% but less than 80%. The next closest manufacturer is Pre-GSM Cold steel then RMJ tactical.

I am not really a collector but more of an accumulator. I only buy 2-3 new knives each year these days but they seem to be almost all spydercos. I like trying different steels even though I don’t “need” new knives in different steels. Just part of the hobby for me.

Majority Spyderco, started off with Benchmade and bought 7 of them but after my first spyderco have only bought 1 more benchmade and 24 more spyderco, I do have a QSP penguin and 2 civivi in there and a couple fixed blades but the majority are spyderco and if exclusives were not "exclusive" to the USA market Id have a bunch more as I have some but finding them in Canada is not easy, same with sprints as they sell fast and our dealers get tiny quantities, if CBSA wasnt an issue id have quite a few more

Just Spyderco Delicas for me. I like to keep things simple and focused. When I was much younger and had a thing for baseball cards, I focused on George Brett cards exclusively - collecting over 300 different Brett cards (still have them...interested?).

So, for me, sticking with the Delica (which I carry everyday) allows me to focus down on one model, with enough variations to keep me busy for a lifetime (and way more than I can afford, anyway). Currently up to ten, but I only started earlier this year.

I buy mostly Spyderco, but I will occasionally buy other brands if something really catches my eye. I have several from Kizer and Vosteed because they make interesting knives. I only have one of the butterfly brand, and thats a Griptillian with a Spyder hole.

I definitely collect only Spydercos. I have a few Scandinavian knives and some SAKs, but Spyderco is what I collect and plan on buying more of.

Only Spyderco knives since I bought my first one about 5 years ago. First one was a PM2. Sometimes someone will gift me another brand but buying wise it’s just Spyderco.

I think my highest count of Spyderco’s was 44/45 with the only non-Spyderco I owned being a ZT 0562 which I’ve had for a good while. It’s a fantastic folder, I think it’s ZT’s best model!

In probably the last six months, I’ve bought a Hinderer, a Spartan, 4 Medford’s, a Pro-Tech/Strider collab, and now I’m looking to buy a Chris Reeve of some flavor? My world has revolved exclusively around Spyderco folders for 36/37 years? I just recently realized there’s some other phenomenal knife makers out there, guess I’m a little slow and late to the party. But….Spyderco will always be my No. 1 knife manufacturer, I know everyone here has their favorite model, to me there’s not a better knife on the planet than a Manix 2, regardless of price!

Folders: 100% Spyderco.

When I got my first one less than ten years ago I honestly did not know anything at all about the brand, just held and used that (back then to me a bit "unusual" and "weird" looking) Delica and was completely sold on ergos and performance.
So an Endura and a Stretch 1 followed and only after that I began looking into Spyderco as a brand, its history, reception in the knife world and so on.
I sure am a "collector" in that I always have more Spydercos than I technically would need, but all get used in all applications (actually the rarer one is somehow the more I like to use and test it).
And I manage to always have at max 15 Spydies at each point in time (for a long time this number was even just 10).

Fixed blades are a different story.

I think I have only seven, covering all size ranges from Machete size to in-pocket-mini-EDC, all are users, and just one is a Spyderco (Waterway).
Top three going by pocket-time (update October 25):
- EDC: Endela SE (K390). Endela SE (VG10), Manix 2 LW (REX45)
- Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 2 SE (LC200N), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), Pac.Salt 1 SE (H1)

I don't buy that many different models, but Spyderco makes a lot of knives in models I like. Buying Military's, Para2's, Endura's, Manix2 XL's, Native Chief's, and Mule Team's can add up. Don't have them all, just the one's I like and can get. Have enough now that a lot of exclusives are redundant.

But there's a LOT of knives from other manufacturers I like too.

Busse, Cold Steel, Zero Tolerance, Hinderer, Koenig, Spartan Blades all make some interesting models.

Only Spyderco for me. My first “grown-up” knife was a Spyderco, and after many, many more, I still see no reason to spend my time and money on anything else. Manuals, automatics, even slipjoints — they’re just the best for me.

I do have a few Victorinox and Leatherman multitools, plus a couple of carbon Opinels, but when it comes to modern knives and collecting? Yeah, it’s Spyderco only.
Recent favourites: Massad Ayoob CPM CRU-WEAR PE & SE, Yojimbo 2, Lil' Temperance 3 K390.
Looking to add: Spyderco C131CFP Terzuola Slipit.

When I had my 'knife awakening' last year, I bought a whole bunch of different budget knives, and it was mainly a learning experience. Since I'm in Colorado, and my first long term carry knife was a Spyderco from way back when, I figured I'd lean that way. Our first new Spyderco was actually a couple for my daughter. Then I got some, and then some more, and more, and more. And more lol.

There are occasionally some other company's folders that may interest me, but they are few and far in-between. Spyderco strikes a good balance for me of being a super usable high performance work tool that is more reliable than the budget knives out there, and less $$ than a lot of other high end USA made folders. I think I'll stick w/ the home team.

I have 15 folders. 9 are Spyderco. The last knife I bought was Para 3 LW magnacut I love it. Before that I got a Benchmade 940 exclusive. Almost identical weight to a Para3 LW blade is longer than a Para2. $185. I am probably done collecting I have what I like and the knife prices are getting too close to gun prices.
