I am firmly into SE these days when it comes to EDC folders... but IF I choose to carry PE anyway, this model in this exact version it still the best of the best to me...

(Day in town, as usually conveniently commuting per bicycle. Fortress of Salzburg in the backdrop)

Thanks! :smiling-cheeks

... I happen to own both the Endura and the Stretch 1 in HAP40... tough choice, for a long time these two models had a constant "battle" for the position as my overall favorite folder..

If you don´t own or perhaps even never tried the disco´ed Stretch one: Definitely go with that one!
Amazing knife, to me even better than the Stretch 2 and also Stretch XL, which are both great too... and with a surprisingly good cutting edge to closed length ratio for a folder with choil.

YES ! :smlling-eyes I have the Stretch 1 CF and I do prefer it a bit more than the 2 version . I agree though it is a hard choice between the two models . Dan

For various reasons I prefer to carry small knives all the time, while adding a larger knife when needed. For years I carried a Dragonfly 2 K390. Then I switched to a Lil Native because it was so much more comfortable in hand. But early this year, I tried a Chaparral SE. And in my pocket it stays.

I still prefer the feel of the Lil Native, but it just doesn't slice as well. To be sure, when the Lil Native LW SE becomes available I'll find out if it is the best of both knives.
Oldest: 1974 Buck 110.
Newest: Manix 2 LW, CPM 15V
SE models: Dragonfly 2 Salt, Lil Native, Chaparral, Salt 2, Byrd Hawkbill 2, LeafJumper K390, Mule MT46S, Temperance CruWear
Knives owned: Too many, yet always finding another.
Added a ceramic mug, "The Edge is a Ghost". Great mug!

Very nice. What scales are those? I'm thinking of getting that kit but not sure what scales to use.

Thanks. I made these scales myself, they're 3/16 canvas micarta. I definitely prefer them over the g10 scales Spyderco sells, although those scales are perfectly good from a utilitarian perspective.

Still the very best small hiking folder to me.
