Like tzirconia, the first thing I thought of with the mention of hawkbill was the Tasman. If you're comparing something with the Chaparral, the blade length is very similar with a bit of extra length on the handle to offset missing the finger choil. Here are the two:

If they did a run of Tasman SE in PD#1 with full liner Delica handle, I'd take out a mortgage in my landlord's name on the apartment I rent.
Someone here started a thread that had photochops of Lil Natives with different blade shapes. A Lil Native SE with a Cricket style recurve blade would be a real treat. Do it in CruWear/PD#1(r.i.p. Crucible), prefer the standard g10, but can accept that CruCarta is provactive and gets the people going. The Lil Native and the Cat are really the epitome of the "little big knife".
Like wise I'd also love a Cat SE or SE Recurve in any tougher "budget" steel, maybe 14c28n or AEB-L? The Cat is truly the best bang for your buck Spyderco. It's a Lil Sage 1, but built like a tank. Build quality surpasses the Tenacious family, but the price does not. Plus the lack of jimping to do away with annoying hot spots is a chefs kiss for a hard use small knife.

Re: Fellow Construction Workers...a Question.
I don't need the size comparisons...I still own a Chaparral (Had 3 at one point), and the Dragonfly is a bit too small for me (Still own 4 I think), and that's without gloves on (I almost want to say the Caly Jr. is what I would want the Dragonfly to be, but that's bias because it fits my hand a lot better (I have two of them)). I was worried this would happen...cutting wax coated and formed carboard essentially, is one task I do occasionally when we're building the foundation for a cell tower or for the shelter that will house the equipment for said tower (Also do rooftop cell sites, AM/FM radio towers, anything related to installing or maintaining communications equipment), though I used that example as a worst case scenario that I'd never subject one of my Spydercos to unless I had no choice. The uses for my knives can be extremely varied, hence the desire for something that I already have several of what are capable of what I want, but the desire to optimize further.

Re: Fellow Construction Workers...a Question.
I own several variants of the Delica...some I've never carried like my blue 3rd generation SE, but I've carried my CruWear Delica a decent bit as the smaller knife (And more recently a K390 Delica 4 SE), but I find the hawkbill with serrations to be very good for certain tasks when at work. I'm basically trying to hypothetically come up with an improvement in my work use scenario for the space that I've found the Tasman Salt SE to occupy most often...SE Dragonfly Salt is alright, but dowsn't fit my hand well, even without gloves, and I really prefer my knives to have a finger choil, which the Tasman/Delica family do not have.
