I happen to know, FOR A FACT, that one of the OP’s pictured knives was broken with accidental lateral stress. IIRC, he was cutting some heavy rubber conveyor belt material, and the blade twisted, then snap. So yes, large forces, then accidental lateral force (similar to prying), and it broke the blade. He admitted fault, and to my knowledge did not send it in for warranty.
So now there’s only 8 that broke under normal usage…
