Steve, I don't think there is any real consistency as to who gets what first. There are have been a couple knives where I got mine before I saw one anywhere else, others where someone else posted pics (or For Sale listings) anywhere from a few days to a week before NGK received any. Still others, quite a few lately, where the un-numbered pieces seem to be beating the numbered ones to the dealers by a very wide margin. A couple here have had Kumos (I'm pretty sure un-numbered ones) for weeks. Believe the word a while back, when this happened on the Caly Jr and a couple others, was problems with the engraving machine. For the record, no sign of my Kumo yet either.
I've been waiting (sorta patiently) since TazKristi posted on August 16th that the Kumos were shipping that week. The Poliwogs (which Kristi said were also being shipped that week) have been available for some time now. The Kumos must be on a ssslllllooooowww boat from Japan Hopefully they will be available soon!

My CC# Kumo has yet to arrive either. I contacted my dealer Monday and he has no clue when they will arrive.
Although I have only been in the club for roughly 3 - 4 months, I have noticed that normal production knives are hitting the streets before us Collectors are getting ours. . O well. :)
Sounds like the collector blades may be made up first, but then they ship when the dealer's normal shipment goes out. I'm sure there's lots of variables. Chuckling ... the upside is that I haven't had to pay for it yet . :D
my local has one in the display... $$$$
