Bodacious S90V and carbon fiber Sprint

I'll be patiently awaiting for this piece to drop. I haven't tried the Bodacious yet, and this looks like the perfect combo for my collection.

S90v and CF is a special combo on Spyderco knives and a favorite of mine. We don"t need Magnacut on every model, S90v has better edge retention and is plenty corrosion resistant for most folks.

I think it way past time for Spyderco to bring out the MagnaMax out in a nice Sage green color. But that is just my taste lol...

Just imo here, not a lot of difference between S90V and MagnaCut, just from me using them here anyway.

Absolutely! K390 but stainless in a nutshell. Howabout black with a red Spyderco logo? Most colors are taken by other steels or exclusives.

Green would be my choice too ! Hopefully the MagnaMax will have its own color in the future . I have been hoping the Bodacious would be another Salt model and still would like to see the SE released . Dan

I think carbon fiber and S90V is the unofficial Spyderco exclusive combo, so this seems like a natural first choice for the first variant besides Spy27. I'm just as excited for the scales as I am the steel.

I think it should be dark matter fat carbon. Love that stuff. It would be a good evolution of the S90V combo.

The Bodacious has become my favorite general purpose pocket knife and S90V is a top 3 steel contender for me so I am super excited about this coming soon.

I honestly would prefer G10 to hopefully bring down the price in line with the current Bodacious models though.

Almost $340 (as listed at Blade HQ) kinda hurts. I may have to wait and hopefully catch it on some special.

Not in terms of edge retention. Magnamax is a 17% carbide volume stainless designed to essentially have the catra performance and toughness of k390. S90V will actually out cut k390, 10v, and s110v.

I got one of these a few days ago. First impression: awesome knife. For my tastes, better than the Shaman. I prefer the feel of the flat scales; maybe a Shaman with some textured G10 or CF will feel better to me. I just cannot get with the smooth G10. Its also better than the Caribbean; looks cooler, has better ergonomics for me, and better action as well. I hope the future Bodacious Sprints don't all have smooth scales (unless it was titanium).

Have the S90V flavor and love it as well. After a few months with it, I too prefer it over the Shaman. Not a fan of forward choil designs.
