I thought this was kinda strange. I noticed that a reply I had written wasn't in the thread after posting it. I assumed that something happened to the post in transit and that I would need to rewrite it, but then later noticed that the user (GarageBoy) that is said to have last posted in it, also doesn't have a reply showing.
viewtopic.php?t=98770
I am wondering if there was some kind of shadow-locking or moderation enabled on the thread given its contentious nature, or if there's something wrong with my browser loading a cached version of the board? I cleared out my cache, though, so it kind of seems like it's the former.
It seems like it would be a reasonable thing to disable new replies until things actually got sorted out, but figured I would ask to see if it's not a glitch with the board or my browser.
Edit
I tried switching the display order from Ascending by Date, to Descending by Date, and the most recent posts appear, but the first two posts don't show at the end of the thread as they should. I noticed the post count is displayed as 39 on the board display but 40 on the thread's header, so I am betting there's an issue with the PHP having an off-by-one count in the template and they'll probably pop up on the next reply when it starts a new page.
Here's a screenshot of the board display showing 39 posts:
Here's one showing the post header specifying that it has 40:
And these show that the last post being displayed is by WilliamMunny, even though there should be one by myself and by GarageBoy
If I use the thread options to change to a Descending order, the last two posts (chronologically speaking) show up at the top...
