Canis w/ Back Lock

#1

Post by civilian_g10 »

Does Spyderco have any plans to offer a Canis with a back lock? I got to handle a few compression lock knives, and the lock just isn't for me.

Another knife I'd like is the Military with a back lock. Maybe Spyderco could think of offering a limited run of certain models with both locks.

Just a thought.

Hi Civilian_G10,

Welcome to our forum.

Changing locks on a model is a whole new re-tooling. That would not be likely, unless there was a large demand for that.

Try out a Native chief. It's a big, pointy, back lock knife.

Please offer a lightweight FRN! Love this design, maybe tad smaller.

Consider a fixed blade FRN Canis!

I'm picking up a Ronin, which looks similar. Is there a fixed blade Canis?

....
if you want a lockback wharncliffe in that approximate size, look into finding one of the following:
Endela wharncliffe in VG10 or K390
Rockjumper in VG10

both of those were discontinued iirc, but you can probably still find them here and there.

I'm picking up two. I really like it. It'll replace my 15 year old 110.
