Naperville, tell us what you know of this.

N-acetyl cysteine (NAC) is a supplement form of the amino acid cysteine, which is a precursor to glutathione, a powerful antioxidant in the body. By boosting glutathione levels, NAC supports detoxification, immune function, and protects cells from damage caused by oxidative stress.

Also, I was taking vitamin C daily until I read excessive consumption can lead to kidney stones. I am trying to eat more citrus like oranges.

Increasing your overall health today is called increasing your healthspan. Increasing your healthspan may increase your lifespan. Most importantly it means you are not beset with health maladies.

NAC is supposed to be good for you, so is Vitamin C. Only take what they say to take on the bottle, try it out for a few weeks, and reduce it if it is an issue.

I was taking 60+ pills every morning and 10+ every night. Most were supplements and I did that for months but then had an issue with some of my prescriptions so I dropped down to what I knew were OK. I am building back up! I'll weed out the problem supplement(s).

I spoke with my general practitioner Dr today about my rapamycin and acarbose prescriptions....she was not quite laughing but thought it funny, and was a bit worried because I am going all out.

I hope you do realize that every molecule in your body was once DIRT! You may be able to stave off genetic dispositions with a healthy diet, perhaps not so easily with a huge amount of supplements. Those micro - nutrients or even nano amounts of those same nutrients are in food. And there is only such a thing as a bad diet. There is no such thing as a bad food. By definition.

Gut health is very important. Google "gut health" and start reading.

If you take antibiotics, they usually kill anything and everything in your gut. Not everyone eats properly and supplements can help quite a bit. Also, as we age our gut organisms can become weaker.

The USA NIH tests supplements. There are research papers supporting the supplements that I take. Go back and read the 350 posts and read the articles linked.

Certain foods like yogurt can help maintain good gut health. Make sure that you are not eating a yogurt with a lot of added sugars.

I use Google, OpenAI ChatGPT and Microsoft's AI to research supplements. I take what I can afford. See my extensive list above, and use Google to research the supplements.
