I scored big this afternoon thanks to Dan... I scored a C95 backlock combo edge with box and all looks like new.

I've been tempted to order one. I have the PE cruwear and PE Temp 2.

I see a SE sprint and a SE VG10 original up for good prices at the moment. Thinking about jumping on the VG10 so I have an example from each run.

the gray sprint run temps dye really easily. if I remember correctly I used a mix of kelly green and dark green rit dye. I dye pretty much any knife I can to some shade of green.

You’ve got 8 coming in at one time?! You either got bit hard, or you are a complete collector legend. That is more than half my collection right there you have coming in the mail lol.


Regarding the Pattadese…that is an interesting knife. Have you held one? They have them still at the SFO (or at least up till recently) and I think they were $151 there.

They are a quirky knife. Small and dainty, and it seems like the ergos don’t work for everyone. I think Seth from Knife Center, in his large collection video ( which is worth the watch) talks about the Pattadese and thinks it is pretty awkward in some ways. While I can see what he is talking about (I wouldn’t call it super user friendly), I actually really like it and thought the quality of the ones I have seen and held were stellar. I would 100% consider one for the right price. I hope you enjoy yours…and all the others you have coming!

It was a pretty sweet deal. I've never owned a Sharpmaker and this one came in for under $50. It arrived yesterday and I've already used it to get very sharp edges on a couple of different knives despite neglecting to read the manual at first (in my defense, I did watch Sal's instructional video from 1999 on YouTube). It takes longer to bring back serrated K390 but I managed to get it paper-slicing sharp after a few attempts.

As for the other two, they coincidentally arrived together today. It was a good mail call:

I don't have a sharpmaker either and for no particular reason either. I need to get one of those. Great score and those two knives there go without saying are definitely solid scores in my book...
