My favorites are Golden and Seki. Those are ones I own, carry, and use the most, by a long shot.

I also really like Taichung, but I've only ever owned or even handled one Taichung, my leaf-bladed Caribbean. And although it's amazing, one knife is not enough for me to make a favorite manufacturer vote on it.

In terms of fit and finish,
Taiwan > Golden > Maniago > Seki (I don't have any Chinese models so can't rank)

In terms of designs,
Seki > Golden > Taiwan > Maniago > China

Overall I'd take Seki if I could only choose one factory. The Salt line, Ayoob, Temperance, Delica/Endura, StretchXL, Centofantes, K390 and Cruwear all have my heart. Seki is >50% of my collection.

Golden is a close second with the PM2, Native Chief, Mules, and Yojimbo

Seki for sure. (usually) VG-10, lightweight, thin, easy in the pocket, and lock back leads to such a nice, no frills work knife. While I've praised the S2XL for being my favorite knife I can also appreciate the endela, delica, and police too.

I voted for Golden, but Seki is a very close second for me.

Had to vote for Taichung barely over Golden

- Chaparral is my most used Knife by far both PE and SE.
- Sage 5 LW is the perfect EDC and has the smoothest of any Spydie I own

I love my Zwear Shaman and the Bodacious is on its way but it’s Taichung for me

Golden, Colorado USA.

My favorite. 👌
Is that the one on Earth?

Anyway, I agree, Golden makes a great knife. They have their detents generally dialed in. Although taichung has some great fit and finish, some of the detent based knives are on the light side - not my preference.

Tough one as I like designs from all the factories but Seki makes the JM2, which is by far and away the best cutting tool I’ve ever owned.

A close second is Taichung for the Chap LW SE.

Golden knives are fantastic too.

We are very fortunate.

I have great knives from Japan, Taiwan, the USA, and Italy. I haven't been disappointed by the quality of any factory.

My personal taste seems to lean towards the Taiwan factory as the most interesting knives.

I have no idea how to vote. As for quality, I like Golden and Taiwan. As for knife designs I prefer the Seki knives, but also the Golden UKPK and Manix.

Taichung has the best quality imo.
Spydiechef, Caribbean, Swayback, Tuff … I’de have to look at more of my knives. Nothing has that quality beat.
They have been perfect.

The factory I never consider when looking at new models, all of them have a great models in their lineup. Looking at my collection Taichung stands out with Golden right behind them.

From Taichung I love the GB2, Spydiechef and Chaparral. And of course my new gem, the Brouwer.
