Mushroom,

The Cue ball Manix is really a slick knife man
I like the sounds of that! :grin-squint This is actually their D’Allara 3 model from 2017. Unfortunately didn’t last too long as it was then discontinued a year later in 2018. I suspect cost may have contributed to its short production run.

Mushroom,

Yes, but what a knife you got there in the Cue Ball Manix. I think it's quite fitting man.

I really liked the lines of the knife very refined . Unfortunately I had such a miserable time with the Q Ball that I just couldn’t justify taking a chance with the D’Allara . It definitely be a buy it they ever considered a lock change . Dan

I would like to hear the story behind the broken blade . Major Ooops ! Nice shot ! Dan
I don’t think it’s broken, I think it’s just stabbed through a leaf. The handle is behind the leaf. I could be wrong.
Thanks ! Once I exploded the picture I can see it better. Still cool shot . Dan
Thank you @Manixguy@1994 and @RyanY
You are correct, the knife did not break. ;)

Congrats to the winners from last week - several very excellent shots!
Let's kick things off this week with an in-use picture - the coho are running here in Puget Sound right now!

Awesome shot! :cheap-sunglasses
Hey thanks, guys! The bow river makes a great scaler and field dress knife - this was definitely not a planned shot, just in the middle of working and saw the scene. I also definitely slimed/bloodied my phone big time to take the picture :rofl

Howdy folks, this week’s winner is @barnaclesonaboat 🏆 Great shot plus you bloodied and slimed your phone so that shows true dedication 🤣

Runner-up was a coin toss with some really good pics this week but Dan’s spider shot got the nod 🥈

I don’t have large hands but i can get a four finger grip on the lil native behind the choil.

Using the choil makes it feel like a full size handle with a smallish but useful blade. Lots of control.
For nearly any non food prep task it has been sufficient for me, and I have even done a decent amount of fruit slicing with it. It’s not ideal for quartering an apple but you can do it haha. I didn’t think I would love the lil native but I got a good deal on a used S30V one to try it. Now I have three and one ready for my wife’s birthday haha.

Thanks a lot! @SaltyCaribbeanDfly Quite the honor - plenty of great shots last week. @Manixguy@1994 Dan - can you please do the honors of judging in my place this coming Sunday? We'll be out in the mountains hopefully without service until mid-week and I wouldn't want to slow down this round. I look forward to seeing how it pans out this week, already some unique shots in the mix. :respect

Finished my first mule scales made out of Canary wood. Took a while to get the scales dialed in just the way I like them. Liked the photo I took enough to try and enter this week’s photo of the week contest.
