So hear me out. Since Nick suggested the Fat Carbon, I have not been able to get that image out of my head.
I think S90V if a steel changed would be considered and Fat Carbon would be an awesome combo for this model.

What about Gold. I love the look of their Dark Matter Gold and the Camo Gold doesn't look too bad either.

Let us not forget what brought us all to this thread... a bunch of polls and arguments. :rofl

Seriously though, really hope this campaign grows legs. I think for the last couple of years, I have often carried a wharncliffe traditional in my pocket as a secondary knife. Really hoping I can replace those with a Spyderco Air. What a great little utility knife to have at our disposal.

I agree Jeff , and the Carbon Fiber samples from Nick look great . I could be happy with either one on the Air . Dan

A comparison between the Air and the CRK Mnandi. I agree an Air 2 needs something more fancy than G10 or FRN. Gotta keep that gentlemanly vibe 😁

Looks great ! So appears to be a material that will reflect color from different angles ? If so would be a nice type of CF on even a smaller knife . My thoughts every knife would have a different personality. Dan

That is indeed so buddy. And yes every knife made would kinda be a one off as all the sheats of cf all differ slightly.

Fat carbon CF's are one of my most favorite materials. They make such a beautiful line of cf's currently i am dreaming of ordering Fat carbon shredded cf Manix scales later this year with either gold or silver chunks. It looks completely different then the Darkmatter ones. They give me goldmining vibes. :zany

I just hope this will happen.
Based on its concept and lineage, cf is an acceptable compromise, but I’m secretly hoping it will be something else ;)

Not to throw a wrench into the works, but I love my Air aside from the fact I never made my wire clip mod like @kbuzbee did to his. If I wanted to change something else, this knife would be the best candidate for wood scales.

Great comparison! I couldn't agree more on the scale material. Needs to keep with the design.
Thanks for sharing!

Rosewood sounds great or even sandalwood. So many great options.
