20 years forum member
I just found out this is my 20th year as a forum member...
Good guys and girls came and went, Spyderco changed, the knife community changed, collecting Spyderco knives became easier (from an European standpoint) and more expensive.
A lot changed in those 20 years. Hopefully i´ll still be around after the next 20 years.
Greeting to those who came before me, and those who came behind, and to the Spyderco crew for their products and approachability.

things sure have changed a lot here since the 2000's. there's a lot of folks that have dropped off over the years, tastes have changed, the market has done a complete 180 in many ways. Been an interesting ride.
Re: 20 years forum member
Congratulations, Jim.
Twenty years is quite the milestone! So many changes in the world, and in knives. In many ways, I think the knives are better now than they were 20 years ago. I do miss early 2000s prices, though!

Wow! Now thats dedication! I'm sure you've witnessed many changes in the knife community, good and bad. I've been collecting Syderco knives for close to 5 years now. I feel like we're in the middle of another big change with the closing of Crucible Industries.
Anywho, congrats on the milestone

I just passed 15 years in June, but I'm also hitting 20 years as a Spyderco customer this year too, I was just late finding the forum.

Congratulations to everyone who has been a member here for a good long time and buying knives. You must have some very interesting knives! Post them up!
I bought my first Randall around 93???? But I did not start to buy them with any frequency until around 2010. I'm guessing on all of these dates, they are ballparks.

I've been a member here since 2004, but shortly after left for most of 14 years, until 2018. Surprising that my account was still active. So technically, I've only been an active participant here for around 7 years. Been into Spyderco knives since '97.

Re: 20 years forum member
I have been using Spyderco knives sinces the 1990´s so my trackrecord goes even futher. I had to go to my local gunshop with a copy of guns and weapons for law enforcement (the internet didn´t excust back then) and asked for a Spyderco knife. They had to search for it and it needed importation from the USA ( just like my gun magazines). I still have my SE Endura with the plastic clip i carried as a young police officer on the streets and suprisingly never lost it during the daily scuffles and fights.
Years later i stepped into this old gunshop just before final closing and the owner still recognised me as "that guy that specifically always wanted to buy American Spyderco knives".
