Not sure if it’s been mentioned but I would love MagnaMax to be my first Native 5 G10. Obviously this would be also great on a Bodacious, fell in love with my SPY27 version.
Yes, and if only simply due to the fact that the Bodie needs some steel love.

Here is what I see as a solid place to start for Magnamax:

Bodacious
Native 5
Manix 2
PM2
Para 3

I'm also hearing a lot of chatter in this thread regarding the Native Chief, and the Millie 2. Maybe those would be fun to add in?

While I would of course love to also see it used on things like a Sage or Delica or whatever, I'm trying to be a bit more logical. If the logistics dictate that it's easier to keep all initial production at the Golden plant (to start), then select what seem to be guaranteed sellers to get it in as many hands as possible, that all makes sense to me. I could see it selling really well, or at least have the best chance of selling really well, in all these popular models above. Then maybe branch out to the Manix 2 XL, Native Chief, Sage 6, Delica/Endura, and Smock.

Hi All,

Certainly quite the wish list. Would it be possible for someone to make a concise list of the requests. Only a few of the staff follow the forum so it's easier to share this information on a list, than with 6 pages on our forum. I can' say too much right now, but it's entirely possible that some might happen.

Here you go Sal. I'm wondering if I should have just listed the knives that were not requested... :woozy

Wow! Kudos to @Synov , you did the hard work for us. Thank you.

Looks like Bodacious (yay!) and Manix 2 leading the pack, with the Native 5, Native Chief, Bow River and Delica nipping at their heels.

Honestly, those first 3 seems like the perfect candidates to start things off. I could see those all selling really well (me included).

Hello there.
Bodacious needs Magnacut or LC200N imho because tough knife needs tough steel.

Good candidates for Magnamax imho are:
Native 5
Manix 2

I will love to see gunmetal g10 scales on them :D

57 different models, not happening, :-) lucky, the best ones are the most popular ones, that's achievable.
Missing from the list is the 3.5" Native.

I have trust in Spyderco that they’ll release at least one model I like (most of the American made stuff, at the moment). My only wish is they make enough of them so there isn’t a rush or frenzy when they’re released. I can’t express how much I like the big runs of the recent 15V models. There seems to be plenty for everyone to order at your leisure.

So please Spyderco, please make big batches in whatever you decide to release in this steel in. No limited sprint runs. If there are sprints, please overestimate the demand.

Hi Sterling, Iaco and Yalel,

Welcome to our forum.

sal
Thank you very much Sal. A real pleasure to get a welcome from the founder of the company. I have only recently made the step into your Spyderco world after having carried and modded Benchmade Bugouts since they came out in 2017. Made the whole trip from just buying and using to modding and learning how to sharpen, reading and watching all the “guru’s” posts ( thanks Alex ,Erica , Shaun ,Todd, Larrin and others) in order to understand things about steel, edge geometry and other relevant eye openers in this hobby. The more one knows and understand the more nonsense and useless info you can distinguish from correct data and that road was and still is a pleasure. On of the reasons that I want to be on your forum.

Now at 64 years of age I believe that I have reached the moment that I am sure many will get to at a specific moment in life. Understanding that a knife like a Native 5 is actually a real gem. No more urge to flip-flop all day… many tastes to choose from in a well thought out, ergonomic and rock solid design. Having had so many knives in my hands since I was a teenager I feel there is a heart and a soul in this design and its execution.
I bought the G10 versionin S110V Slapped a pair of nice Burlap scales on them and with 75 grams I am a happy camper with a knife solid as a tank! ( to be honest I couldn’t resist swapping the washers for a size bigger and put a LYNCH clip on :zany ). But he..that is me .. the knife as it is in all its versions is already close to perfect.
I am currently waiting till the Magnacut plain edge is in stock again and will built a second Native 5 to my liking . Pinnacle of my edc life will hopefully be a MAGNAMAX version in the years to come. Only critics that I have on not only most of the Spyderco’s but on practically all mass produces knives is de TBE ( thickness behind the edge) but that I do understand well from a practical point of view but I would give a lot to someone who could modify a Native 5 Magnacut blade with 0.3-0.4mm behind the edge for me. No chance that I find someone in The Netherlands whois capable to do that. (So any suggestions ….☺️)
Thanks for the forum, your products and again for your welcome here.

All the best and stay healthy from The Netherlands

This is pretty much my original list:
- Military (1 & 2)
- Native Chief
- Police (G-10 please)

If a Sage 6 was offered, I would not pass on that. ;)

For me it would be Native 5, Manix 2, Bodacious, Sage 6 (G-10 or CF), Native 5, and Native Chief.

I can see a lot of Taichung knives coming eventually in Magnamax as Spyderco tends to use them for all of their fancy/unique knives, but I doubt we will get the Delica/Endura/Stretch/Police models in Magnamax unless Larrin licenses it out to some Japanese companies since the Seki City models are all Hitachi or Bohler-Uddenholm steels for the most part.

However, I’m probably wrong given they just released their entire Japanese line with Spy27. I wonder with Crucible shutting down that it might be easier to get these formerly CPM steels licensed and manufactured in more places.

It makes sense to have at least a sprint run in MagnaMax for every knife. Some sprint runs maybe 500 knives and for other knives a permanent MagnaMax knife.

15V set the pace and people are snapping those up.
