My entry for this year features the Spyderco Stovepipe (C260TIP), surrounded by herbs and vegetables—some from our garden. I enjoy cooking and wanted to photograph the knife in a setting that brings together three of my hobbies: photography, cooking, and knives. The industrial finish and intricate machining of the 20CV blade and titanium handle contrast with the natural textures and colors of the produce in a way I found both interesting and visually appealing. Thank you to Spyderco for hosting this fun contest and giving us the opportunity to take part again.

I love the color green, and watching plants grow in the spring time! This is a blade swapped para 3 lightweight. It has the S45VN blade from a standard G10 para 3, and the beautiful natural green handle of the knife joker exclusive cruwear para 3 lightweight. I feel like the colors go together nicely here. I really love how easy the para 3 is to open and close and it fits my hand perfectly. Thanks Spyderco!

Image This is my C217GP Caribbean in our large landscape island after a thunderstorm sitting on a spinner . This is one of my favorite Salt knives that I use working in the yard in any weather condition. The ergonomics are perfect in hand and construction is flawless. It’s a perfect combo using serrated Salt knives . To me it’s a beautiful hard working knife . MG2

After much thought, I've chosen this year to highlight one of my favorite Spyderco designs; the Dodo.
I'm very happy to see new iterations still being brought to market, and I hope this mini collection isn't done expanding!
I wanted to go with a bird theme, and tried using Ostrich eggs, Goose eggs, different types of feathers, etc.
But it just didn't work out...
I might have found the next best thing in the absence of Dodo feathers, and love the way this little flock looks on Peacock feathers! :)

Model:: Spyderco Mantra C202TIP

I always wanted to incorporate fire in the image. Mantra was chosen to dance with fire because of its all metal construction (M4 blade steel with titanium handle). To me, the scratches on the blade and the handle show character and toughness, especially mixed with fire.

i humbly submit my customized 15v manix (C101GBN15V2) for consideration this year. this knife has been adorned with green micarta scales from bladescales and a brass ball cage from flytanium. the manix is my absolute favorite knife design of all time - a true masterpiece - and this version is pretty much my ultimate version. it also pairs nicely with a spyderedge pacific salt for an especially powerful combo.

this photo was taken in a slot canyon somewhere in utah while my family and i roadtripped over 6000 miles earlier this year. it was a wonderful adventure and this was my favorite photo from the trip.

thank you, spyderco, for continuing the tradition of a forum calendar contest. it really is fun to participate, and to get funny looks from people passing by while we try to get nice photos of our knives in public places. :rofl :cheap-sunglasses

best of luck to all who submitted. i can't wait to see the calendar!

The number of times I've seen a photo and thought "that's definitely the cover" is getting out of hand. So many great submissions this year!

Yesterday, my husband, @VandymanG, and I went for a hike to Mt. Rainier to see Christine Falls. It was the perfect weather and time for a quick hike and to grab a picture of my Spyderco Rockjumper SEVG10! Since it is a RockJumper, the picture had to be amongst ROCKS!!

This past Wednesday, I asked my wife, @hvandyke34, if she wanted to go do a knife photo shoot at Christine Falls on Mt. Rainier. I picked Mt. Rainier as I grew up in the shadow of the mountain and spent a lot of time hiking on it. Oddly enough, I had never been to Christine Falls, which is why I chose that location. For the photo, I picked the LeafJumper SE K390 because it was the first serrated knife that had bumped all my plane edged knives as my primary user. I fell in love with the serration and the ergonomics of the LeafJumper. In addition, I get a knife steel that patinas, which is something that I love. The photo I am submitting was chosen by my daughter from several photos. Hope you like it!

This is my first year and first submission on the photo contest. I’m super excited to show off the composition I made with my younger brother off a pier using my Spyderco Harpy. I took the photo with my iPhone. Although the competitive spirit in me always keeps its eye on the prize, getting to hang out with my brother and working on this all evening made for a lovely memory I’ll cherish as we each have to go back to school and seperate for a semester.

Spyderco Shaman Z-Wear Sprint Run micarta

This year, I decided to post a photo of the Shaman after its first use. This was shortly after I received it directly from Golden. I wanted to make some feather sticks out of it and start a fire with it. As you can see, it worked, and for a while, the knife ended up in a drawer, where it occasionally posed for photos. The turning point came later, and it's been my main work knife ever since. This convinced me to try a compression lock. I've always been a fan of frame locks, but this one works great. The blade thickness and Micarta grip allow me to use it with confidence. Now, a few years later, it's not as pretty as in this photo, but it still serves me well every day. Thank you, Spyderco, for the opportunity to enter the contest! Good luck to everyone!

This year I am submitting my Spyderco One Eyed Jack. By far the favorite knife of my collection. Thank you everyone in the Spyderco family for giving us all the opportunity for a spot. I hope I hit the bullseye with this shot.

To think @TazKristi was worried we would not get enough awesome photos. This is going to be one of the best calendars next year.

Spyderco Sage6

Image

You guys know I'm a massive Sage fan, and my set continues to grow with all the new variants! The Sage1 stole my heart the first time I held it, and arguably started my obsession with Spyderco knives. For the past several years I had been lobbying for a button lock Sage here on the forum, and Spyderco did not disappoint by using the vastly superior button actuated compression lock instead of the standard plunge lock I had envisioned before the Smock was released. This created arguably the ultimate no-compromises Sage. Thank you Spyderco!

I cant figure out how to make mine right attaching here. I’m worried it was upside down and reversed on the other platform too. Anyone got any ideas?

As many of y’all know here on the forums vegetable gardening is one of my passions. This year has been a pretty good year for my tomatoes, so I thought I’d post a shot of a recent little harvest. I use many of my serrated Spyderco’s in the garden, but for this submission I wanted to showcase one of the best “little knives” Sal and Co. produce - the Ladybug. Fun fact - ladybugs are beneficial to your garden because they eat aphids and other tiny pests which can destroy a tomato plant. I release some of them every spring in my own garden to combat harmful pests.

There are some fantastic photos this year and the calendar is gonna be amazing. Good luck to all the participants! 🐞

Wow. Delicious photo. I’m a sucker for a good veggie shot. Love this one Salty.
