Aftermarket Ti scales for the Sage 6?

#1

Post by stuehler »

I'm a huge fan of the aftermarket Ti scales from incredible makers like Rockscale Design and Ripps Garage Tech. I've got them on most of my Spydercos - they're awesome, and really elevate the knives.

Now, I've fallen in love with the Sage 6 - it's awesome almost every way, and it's my current favorite EDC.

So, I'm wondering if anyone is making Ti scales for it? I know Kevin Smock mentioned that he was planning on it, but I think he's put those plans on hold while he focuses on other projects.

Thanks in advance!

I'd suggest contacting those makers directly. They determine what they're going to make based on customer feedback anyhow. I somewhat regularly correspond with the RGT folks. They're great.

Can't reccomend AWT enough. They killed it with the PM2 liner delete, essentially making the PM2 LW we have been waiting for... And I just got a set for the Sage5 and it's a game changer with the contouring.

AWT doesn't have Titanium scales but their Cerakote aluminum scales are killer. Fit perfect and the new aggressive texture is my favorite.

If the Sage 6 was just a little longer blade, like maybe XL version I would be all over it. But now you get the option for these AWT scales, does have me rethinking the Sage 6 lol... this knife in a 4" blade would really be quite the knife.

I'll just throw in another recommendation for AWT, every single Spydie in my EDC "Primary (PE)" rotation has skinny AWT scales, they are just that good.
