This year’s submission is of the new Bodacious SPY27. I took it at the peak of Mt Phelps, one of the 46’ers in the Adirondacks while hiking with my oldest son. While small (4161ft) compared to the Rocky Mountains it was still a 6.5hr 9 mile hike giving great views of Mt Marcy, tallest peak in the range as seen in the background of the picture. It has been our traditional to vacation in NY and hike at least one mountain a year.

Here's my entry for this year's calender contest. Mule Team MT32P with custom birdseye maple scales.

Got out for a fire at the river with my family. Used my Mule to shave the feathersticks and spark the ferry rod to start the fire. Split off some cedar flats to use for a plate and used my Mule to eat my steak. Pretty much a perfect night with an amazing knife.

Entry for this year is my fluted carbon fiber Native 5 with a Maxamet blade. It’s very special to me. I’ve owned it longer than any other knife. It’s my one true forever knife that I will never let go of.

Spyderco doesn’t sell them in this configuration. But what they do sell are tools with tolerances so consistent and virtually no variances, that one can interchange parts between like models.

It’s called blade swapping, and is one of the reasons I fell so deep down this hobby, and developed such a strong brand loyalty with Spyderco. Being able to create whatever my heart desires with a little help from such a reliable and consistent manufacturer, has been an incredible journey.

Thank you Spyderco for all that you do.

Brought my Manix® 2 Lightweight CPM® 15V® Sprint Run® on a solo hammock camping trip in Belgium this week.
The shot grabs many of the things I love, hiking, camping, cooking on a woods fire.
The Manix is a GREAT tool to bring on outings like this.

Thanks for the Spyderco team for doing this great contest every year.
Good luck to everyone, love seeing all the beautiful pics every year.

For me, Spyderco knives are, on the one hand, highly durable, precise cutting tools for everyday use, and, on the other hand, works of art.
The Mule MT 11 pictured here with yew wood handle scales was made by me as a work of art.

Complete Para 3 G10 Sprintrun and Exclusive set
I call this “ The Domino Effect”. I bought my first Para 3 years ago and it quickly became my favorite knife of all time. I then got into buying every exclusive and sprintrun that came out. Next thing you know a domino effect had happened and I eventually had them all. While I do have all the Lightweight versions as well, the G10 versions are my favorite.

Awesome photo, hope they all get some use and don't all just sit in a display case.

The Para 3 has quickly become one of my favorite offices carry knives.

Thanks. 50/50. Some are just too nice so I bought a user and a collector. But 15v and Rex 45 are my go to versions. Magnacut obviously a regular production, but it is seeing a ton of work.

I don't think I've ever submitted so early, but I have a hard time finding time for photos these days. I also rarely take horizontal photos. All that said..

I've always loved the way this photo of my C52FPGYE Spyderco Calypso Jr turned out. I find the patina on this knife, and they way it pops in this photo, to be absolutely beautiful! A lot of pristine knives make the calender, so I decided to think outside the box and see what happens!

Image
I’ve been considering one of these for a while. The Super Blue patina is amazing on your knife. Great photo!

I have been interested in collecting spyderco for a while and I still find models that I have never seen before. And one thing that I have clearly noticed is that spyderco is very serious about the design of the FRN handle. Whether it is an old or new model, I see the intention of design in every model, which makes it look special and unique. The Spyderco Walker is another model that I found in the second-hand market. It is very striking. The shape of the blade, the grinding and the pattern of the handle are as I have described. It is beautiful and very unique.

The camo pattern is also a pattern that I like very much. Whether it is a shirt, bag, pants, hat or anything else, I feel that it is ready to go in every situation, which is what spyderco knives are like. No matter what type of use or what situation spyderco has a type of knife for you to find the one that is right for you. So I combined both of my favorite things in this picture. The high and low of the pattern and the shadows create a feeling like it is sunlight shining on the mountains in the morning revealing the trees the grassland and a river in the big forest, waiting for us and our favorite knives to go out and have an adventure together.

This year I am submitting my Spyderco One Eyed Jack. By far the favorite knife of my collection. Thank you everyone in the Spyderco family for giving us all the opportunity for a spot. I hope I hit the bullseye with this shot.
