Thank you, Dan. Yes, the orange peel texture on the frame of the Advocate is something that Spyderco hasn't done often.

SNK 4V Dodo finally made it across the Pacific Ocean.

I think this qualifies as a throwback since it is a discontinued model --perhaps like those new antiques that can be found in some tourist spots :smlling-eyes

still think its the most ergonomic folder spyderco has made.

it's wild how much the knife market has changed since the first run of these. less emphasis on breaking lock testing machines and overbuilt folders. less turning ones nose up at chinese made knives. cpms30v potentially being on its way out or renamed at least. time moves fast.

even a detail as minor as the more squared off clip or the philips clip screws makes it obvious this was from a different era.
