@Sal, I think you hit it out of the park with this Manbug Leaf design.

I picked one up in SE last week. Maybe the sharpest OOTB SE I've experienced yet. I also have the Manbug Wharny SE. The Wharny is a little taller when closed, with even better access to the Spydie hole. But I'm digging the extra belly on the Leaf and I hope we will eventually see additional versions.

I have several Ladybugs and only one Manbug. The really pronounced belly is not my thing at all. The leaf shape though, it's exactly what I'd want for my work carry !

I'll have to get one once they hit Europe :open-grin
:respect In the collection :respect : Lots of different steels, in lots of different (and same) Spydercos.

Well after my wife snatched the zdp dragonfly I wanted to get myself a micro carry. This thread reminded me the manbug does have a non drop point version. And I am surprised the cutting edge is practically as big as the dragonfly 2. I added the lanyard and Prometheus delrin keychain snap just to add some grip options.

@sal please give us k390 leaf shape Manbugs! :)

Picked up a Manbug Leaf at BLADE this year and I've been using it as a work EDC. It has performed just fine for all my usual hospital office cutting jobs. My only adjustment is getting used to no pocketclip - I have to pay attention when I pull my keys out of my pocket that it's not tangled up in them. Definitely packs a punch for a small knife. Still holding out for the upcoming Native LW.

Got mine last week during my visit to the SFO while on vacation. Really liking it. Cuts like a razor and I don’t notice it in my pocket until I reach for it!

Love my Manbugs, recent addition 6 months ago of leaf shaped one was a game changer though… little bugger leaves my side very rarely.

Try a quick release off your keychain. I simply fit a paracord to the Manbug and one end of the delrin through the paracord. the other side of the delrin to the key chain.

To each his own but the Dragonfly is the superior folder IMO. Longer blade and (clearly) longer cutting edge, better ergos and more refined and inspired design, at least in my book. That being said, I must admit that the leaf Manbug, especially in the serrated variant is very appealing to me.

I got home from work last night and found that my wife had been cleaning out a bunch of old junk from around the house. She was complaining about having to use my No.6 Opinel that I had left out. She hated the handle, the lock, and the blade shape! I told her that I was planning to get her a Ladybug. She wanted to know what the blade looked like, and when I showed her the catalog photo, she said, "No!" She wanted a blade with less belly. I went and got my new Manbug Leaf SE, and she immediately said that was what she wanted! She cut open a box and then started raving about the Manbug Leaf! The handle was perfect, the blade shape was perfect, the opening was super easy, the weight was perfect, the lock was solid! She even liked the lanyard hole! She then said that if she had one she would likely keep it in her pocket all the time! I told her that she now has a Manbug. She tried to give it back, but I told her that I have 9 more Spydercos, I'll get another Manbug! So, she is now using the Manbug to see if she likes the SE or would rather have PE. Either way she's happy, so I'm happy!! :-) Funny thing, for years she said that she didn't like Spyderco because of the "ugly" thumbhole, but using the thumbhole for ease of opening was another plus for her! Better late than never!!

Huge win in the household happening here, haha

I took mine to the SFO the other day, and she really likes the Sage 6. Button release FTW. Practically all of us will end up with a Sage 6 in this house lol. Spyderco just needs to hurry up and get the Sage 6 into a Salt configuration.
