working good for me so far. holds an edge close to s30v, sharpens easily, no toughness or corossion issues so far. seems like a step up from lc200n in terms of hardness and edge holding.
only issue is availability. I'd take magnacut over any other steel in folders but its currently only offered in one model im interested in. watching for the manix xl salt to drop!
May you find peace in this life and the next.

I did like the idea of the police model in a salt version. I would buy that.vivi wrote: ↑Tue Jul 08, 2025 10:56 amworking good for me so far. holds an edge close to s30v, sharpens easily, no toughness or corossion issues so far. seems like a step up from lc200n in terms of hardness and edge holding.

That one isn’t mine but I’m working my way up…

Gotta start somewhere!

Yeah I'm hoping there's one in the works. The Military and Manix XL and my #2 and #3 folders from Spyderco, but my #1 is a Police. Fingers crossed they reveal one soon!RugerNurse wrote: ↑Tue Jul 08, 2025 11:34 amI did like the idea of the police model in a salt version. ^ nice looking edge and nice looking manix.
I bought a stack of 5 of those stones when a local HF had them on sale for $8. I keep one in the garage, one at work with my knife roll, one with my sharpening stuff in the office, and two unused back-ups. can't beat em for the $$.
millie salt spent 13 hours soaked in sweat today. Gotta make sure magnacut is a worthy replacement to H1
