Anyone interested in a US meet similar to Amsterdam meet?

Spoke to Sal about this briefly as BLADE Show. I would wait in line overnight just to sign up for a spot...

Yes please. I hear Hawaii is a nice place for such meetings.
It rains rust in Hawaii.

Absolutely!
Maybe hold it in Golden so it is easy and less expensive for Team Spydie?

Depends where it is. The other side of the country might as well be Amsterdam to me.

I agree, they already have something in Golden, so let’s say something on the other side of the country, mid-Atlantic, not that I am biased.

Re: US Spyderco Meet
The only similarity between the Amsterdam meet and the seconds sale is that they’re both hosted by Spyderco. They are completely different events.

Re: US Spyderco Meet
That is 100% true. I would love if they switched it up for 1 time it would be a dream for me to go true all those boxes with seconds and be able to buy more then 1 spydie at a time for that one time.

Re: US Spyderco Meet
For an Amsterdam seconds sale they'd have to ship all the knives to Amsterdam, sort them, then ship back what didn't sell. Not easy.

Re: US Spyderco Meet
Threads like these really show myself in the mirror the lack of dedication I have to any hobby. For me Mr. Blonde's posts after the meet are enough to satisfy my vicarious lifestyle.
Hope it happens though for the truly hardcore among us that are willing to spend their PTO and money to travel cross country for an event like this.

Re: US Spyderco Meet
A meet is also not easy and we would even be very happy if they would even bring only a few boxes to the amsterdam meet and even set a limited amount of knives per person to buy. (Believe me if they only bring some of the standard plain edge golden models all will be gone in an hour!!!) Every year we see the thread from the second sale and people going home with 10,20,30 spydies and pay peanuts. Heck we even be happy to get to buy 1 second spydie and pay double you guys pay at second sale for effort to do it as for us here in europe double would still be insanely low a 60-70-80€ Second g10 s30v Manix for example is a crazy good deal because its almost 200€ here. Sure there is the online second sale sometimes but 1 its not the same and 2 i tried everytime and even when i finally get in there everything even close for me to be worth paying for the shipping costs is gone and the only thing i have is a broken keyboard…
