Right now mine are Military, P4, and Military.

I have a Native 5 Maxamet which is just really incredible, but I never use it since I always have a Military or P4 in my pocket.

In case anybody at HQ is listening, please do more Sprint Runs and steels and scales in both the OG Military (not Military 2) and P4. Thank you :)
Millies in 52100, S110V, CTS-204p, REX 45; M2 Cru-Wear, CPM15V, Magnacut; Native 5 Maxamet; P4 K390, PD#1; Pacific Salt SE/H1, PS2 LC200N; UK/PK; Autonomy H1
Wants/Wishes (only NIB and EU): Militarys in 52100, Maxamet, Cru-Wear
Yes, Virginia, that's a Purple Haze in my suit pocket :)

The C36 had 23 years worth of sprints already :') I feel like there's a lot of variety to choose from.

My three and in order Manix 2XL, Police4 and the Military 2... of coarse the steel selection plays a big roll on these.

With these bigger bladed knives, we don't get as much a selection to buy from. If we did, I would have two of each of the three listed above in REX121.

we've been eatin good the past few years when it comes to large folders.

The Manix XL went nearly a decade without a sprint. Now we have spy27, crucarta, had m4, s90v and 4v.

Police 3 never got a sprint and was around for a little over a decade if I'm remembering correctly.

Military 2 got a salt version after what, 2 or 3 years? While the original Military is turning 30 years old next year I think and never had a Salt. Though it did get a lot of sprints.

It's always been a slim selection for fans of larger spydercos, but things have been better than ever the past few years in that regard. I didn't even mention the native chief, stretch xl, yojumbo, etc.

Well maybe it depends where you live. A lot of Sprint Runs and Exclusives never make it to Europe and if they do we usually get to pay 2X or more what people back home pay. I bought one of the Millie Sprint Runs from Blade HQ a long while back since it wasn't available in Europe at all as far as I recall...I think it was 149 USD. I paid 50 dollars for shipping and then 100 dollars in customs duties, taxes, and UPS fees. So, 300 dollars for 149 dollars worth of knife. That gets expensive right quick

In Europe it's a bunch of countries where there is mostly no common language. So we don't have much of a market for anything except in one country. I mean if you want to sell a NIB knife online in America you have a bunch of choices where to do that. Here we don't.

So, I repeat my plea to HQ to give us a bunch more steel choices in the OG Military and do some new Sprint Runs :star-struck

Even though I've heard great things about the Military 2 I still have a special love for the original Millie. A few years back I got a user M390 version in a trade and it turned out to be one of my top 3 best user/EDCs of all time. Now my Cruwear C-60 Ayoob gets most of my user time.

Many of the older Spyderco designs from the past are hard to beat or practical cutting jobs IMO.

Couldn't agree more JD (as we usually agree on this matter)

Never enough granularity in questions like this one.

I could choose one of my many favorite Spydies, and it, alone, could serve all my knife needs. The PM2, for example. But, I’m here to enjoy Spyderco’s variety in design.

So with both that motivation and Vivi’s restriction in mind…

If Sal’s designs:
C07 Police (K395 Police4 in G10, plus 1)
C36 Military Model
C263 Bodacious (displaces C152 Chaparral)

If Eric’s designs:
C95/101 Manix/Manix2
C98 Poliwog
C230 Lil’Native (especially the Wharncliffe)

If Eric’s mods:
C36 Military2
C81 Paramilitary2
C244 Native Chief

If collaborators’ designs:
C58 JD Smith
C218 Hennicke Opus
C248 McCann Canis

ETA: Correction to name of Canis’ designer.

That's a well manicured list. 👍

Just a heads up though, the C248 Canis was designed by Kelly McCann - with a "C." The name Canis is actually a subtle nod to the designers name.

You tried to correct me months ago and I clearly missed your point. Apologies and thanks, Nick.

1) Military 2 in CPM 15v. Blade swapped into a full frame Micarta M2, and nicknamed the BearCarta. :smiling-heart-eyes
2) Dragonfly K390 Wharncliffe. What a great little workhorse.
3) Native Chief. An absolutely beautiful design. :bug-red-white :usflag :bug-red
