Fake Nirvana??

#1

Post by Mrj »

Here is what I think is a very sad situation. This eBay auction is over $1,500 and I believe this a fake Nirvana. I thought they were only s90v. This knife says s30v and a fake looking box. The Nirvana I think came in a pouch.
Edit: Sold for $1625

Definitely a fake, the knife in the listing is screw-together and a liner lock instead of an integral frame lock. I reported it to no avail, automated system said there were no problems with the listing. Maybe because it was listed as a "replica" in the item details? Really gross situation.

it is sad that there are so many counterfeits on ebay. And that ebay does not care to stop the counterfeiters from using the platform.

But at the same time, if this guy that just spent $1600 on a fake had done even 10 minutes worth of due diligence, this could have been avoided. Ive bought probably close to 100 knives off of ebay and I've only been burned once (on a $25 CRKT counterfeit, of all things) because I do research, ask for more pictures, ask the seller questions, etc.

Omg that is such an obvious fake and the fact it has bodyscrews at the back of the handle is mind blowing for a model that clearly was advertised as a 1 piece construction . :')
