I just ordered this so I haven't received it yet, but I am so excited for it. I have not seen one of these in stock anywhere for a while so when I stumbled upon it I immediately placed the order. As far as I can tell they are still in stock if anyone else is as interested as me. found at NCBlade.

I like the way the 8cr from Spyderco I have tested performs, so I have no hesitancy there, and I like the toolset. I typically use a can opener tool like this for light scraping tasks, and the flat-head tool can be a light pry tool. I think this is a really competent pocket tool package from what I can tell. I will definitely have more to say about it when it gets here.

Random chat - random find - out exploring some museum/shopping area with the wife, and I went to a place called Nashville Tactical. Anyone here even been? Cool little shop, right inside an old Marathon/Southern car factory. Seemed like you could hang out on the couch and flick knives haha, but not intending to buy anything I wasn't going to showroom them and handle all the knives then walk out without spending any money (no knife budget currently for me for the models they had). Had a lot of mostly Microtech/Protech/Medford/Buck/some customs, as well as bang bangs, but also had maybe a dozen or so models of Spyderco.

I've even recognized this about myself and it's a big reason why I obsess over knives that hit a certain sweet spot for a well rounded do it all size for my needs.

I tried the two or three knives for EDC thing. I found I always reach for the most conveniently located knife even if I'm carrying multiples. So I carry a large knife that can do anything I'd need of a pocket knife, one that fits my hand well.

Small knives don't offer me much. I don't have blade length laws. They fit my grip poorly. I use 10" chef knives all day so a 4" folder feels plenty nimble and precise.

15V got me good today. Here I am, chilling out in the garage, minding my own business, having a beer on a Fri afternoon, and not paying attention. I might need stitches, hopefully not. We'll see...

Thanks! I think I'm gonna make it... I taped it well and everthing still functions as usual.

In the worst-case scenario, I still have 9 spare fingers!

Haha, yep there's still more left! I had ~15mm amputated from the end of my ring finger in a crash during a motocross race about 6 years ago, when another rider t-boned me and I landed on his bike. Just the sharp angle of cut bone was sticking out, nail was gone, etc. Could have been much worse though.

I let my crew put stickers up on our hood vents. I've tossed some up too.
