YES, YES 100 times YES PLEASE on the Ulize, it's one of my favorite knives ever made by any company, and an SE version would be amazing. I like the Grey/CruWear idea, MagnaCut or 15V would be awesome as well...

Caly 3, in Magna Cut or Cru-Wear, and micarta scales. Liner lock. I'd like that.

Depending on the price, I'd be in for a new release of the Rookie, C95 Manix, Schempp Barong, Reverse, Province, Centofante 4 wharncliffe, or Worker, among others.
Joined these forums simply to raise another voice for the Barong. It'd be a dream to get a modern sprint run of that knife.

Welcome to the forum, @jymset.

If they brought the Starmate back for a sprint run this year, then there's always hope that the Barong will get one in the future.

I’m not sure this is the same shop that made the Ayoob sprint but if it is, I’d be perfectly fine with them using Cruwear again.

Hi Jymset,

Welcome to our forum.

As far as Sprints go, this is a good list. We appreciate knowing in what you may be interested. This is far more complicated than it might appear. We try to bring out regular sprints of older designs, if possible?

Sometimes the maker has passed or retired. All of our makers are running hard to try to catch up with current models. So it's not only what model,, but who can squeeze it in?

Some of the designs like Ed Schempp's very beautiful Kris or Barong , I don't think the current maker would be able to fit it in very easily. Taking it to a different maker, makes it a new knife, not a Sprint remake. etc. etc. We do listen and within our capabilities, we try to serve.

We also have a few new models, new locks, new designs tat are also finding space. You have my apologies.

Sal, the liklihood of remaking the Diver Probe model from say pure MagnaCut or H2 is very unlikely ?

I loved that knife. Imagine one with blade length of the Pacific Salt.
Or, a Diver Probe with a SpyderHawk blade! Wow.
I can dream :))

Thank you for the collective kind welcome. I was bitten by the Spyderco bug only a few weeks after starting haphazardly collecting knives last year. A middle aged man returning to a youthful fascination. Well, one year in, Spyderco is the reason to keep being fascinated. I thought I'd had a good grip on the fantastic history, but somehow had missed the Barong. I know beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but to me, it's simply stunning. That's why I wrote that initial post.

It's great that this forum exists and a huge honor to interact with @sal. I look forward to learn so much more about Spyderco!

Very interesting! The impending sprint run of Schempp's Balance indeed gave me a glimmer of hope for the Barong. :winking-tongue

While at it, another of my personal unicorns - especially as a German citizen - and also in line with the Starmate: the Terzuola Slipit. Is that a candidate, or would that be the other way around - too soon?

Oh! @sal - just because I joined because of the Barong doesn't mean I'm not totally enamored with the current line up!

Again, as a German, I love some of the tidbits I saw you share on the forums. As far as I can tell from your various older Posts, a Damast UKPK (*swoon*), a 3.5 inch UKPK-family Slipit (*gasp*) and a Kapara Slipit (*choke*) are all on the table? What a dream!

Thank you so much!

Jo from Germany
