Over the last couple of years my collection has grown. Traditional folders, SAKs, modern folders, and fixed blades. I have some safe queens, but for the most part I'd like to think that I do a decent job of rotating them out. That is until my son was working on something and asked to borrow my pocket knife. I handed him the Sage 5 I was carrying that day and he said "No, not that one, the one you always carry." I thought about it and realized that I pretty much always go back to carrying my Endela. I used to think it was the Native that I reached for most often, but that's probably because it's the one I've had the longest, and it was the first Spydie I owned. But if I'm being honest with myself, my SE Endela is what I keep going back to.

What is it for you?
Over the past couple of years my collection has dwindled, don’t see this changing in 2025. Letting go of kitchen cutlery, fixed blades, and pocket knives.

Have tried many pocket Spyderco, Benchmade, Buck, Boker, and Kershaw over time. Spyder hole won me over.

Delica 4 is my EDC going on 10+ years and believe I have recently reached the point where I’m not curious to try much else. For the D4, it doesn’t matter what color, or steel, or wharncliffe or plain edge.

Collect the Native Chief (wanting something Golden since it is a stone throw away and the favorite among Golden choices and find it a compliment to the Delica).

I've only had it since September, but my Sage 5 (with micarta scales) feels like that pair of pants that is just perfect. I spent some money over the holidays and got some nice knives, but I keep going back to the Sage that melts in my hand.
I too would like to see your Micarta Sage5...

Oddly enough, for the past couple of years, my VG10 SE Endela has often become my go-to when I can't really figure out exactly which knife I want to carry for a given day.

Yep serrated edge endela is my EDC , I am OCD on keeping it razor sharp because it is so important to my daily routine
My hunting season must have is a stretch in Vtoku 2

Left pocket is endela, Rt is a stretch

I liked the blue scale/Spy27 combo, so I wanted to keep that going.

Natives and Chaparral in the summer, Military and Stretxh 2 XL CruWear for the winter, plus small alox Minichamp SAK on the keychain.

Especially like my Magnacut Native with its custom lightweight scales in burgundy, and before, it was the CF S90V Native.

Spyderco Shaman in S30V - I’m of the “rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it” camp.

I like the thicker blade stock of the Shaman combined with the compression lock. It can handle everything from light use to harder task all in one without having to switch out knives.

PM2 S45VN is always with me unless I’m traveling in an area with blade length restrictions. 2nd was the UKPK in Magnacut until I got the PM3 15V. But I think I’ll always stick with my first Spyderco the above listed PM2 because the ergonomics are perfect for me.
