This year I tried the Native Chief, Endela and LeafJumper for the first time. Of the three I only wound up keeping the Chief in my permanent collection.
Edit - Actually 4, I forgot I tried the Bodacious as well.
Edit #2 - Dangit, actually 6 LOL, I forgot the Stretch 2 and Enuff 2 as well.

Two? Three? Five?
I don't exactly recall when new models are released or when I buy them.
I'm pretty sure the Stretch 2 XL LW PD#1 is from this year. I bought two.
Was the Stretch 2 XL Heavyweight Cruwear from this year. I bagged one of those.
I also got a Delica and an Endura in K390 SE this year, but they're not new, they're discontinued.
Endela wharncliffe SE, PD#1 PE
Temperance Sprint SE
Enuff 2 K390 SE
Military 2 CE
Meerkat V-toku
UKPK Drop point GIN-1, Spy27 G10
I was as excited to get to try serrated CruWear as everyone else was when 15v first dropped, but a close second the UKPK Spy27 getting G10. Both were everything I had hoped they would be and more. Everything else was just a deal I just couldn't pass up because Im weak in character and will.
This was our first year attending the Seconds Sale, so you can imagine how that went. We (my son and I) got to handle tons of different models, and basically everything we picked up was new to us this year, including the Para 3 we got my son at the SFO over the summer. My previous experience owning Spyderco was an Endura. We picked up:
The Manix, Sage 5, Native 5, and Chaparral are super winners. There is a lot of design overlap amongst them all that is sort of disguised by the size differences. A Sage 5 K390 w/ BBL would be my instant 'greatest-of-all-time' small/med ECD knife.
I bought five "new-to-me" models this year: the Kapara, Ikuchi, LeafJumper (K390), Temperance LW Sprint (Cru-Wear), and Bodacious.
The first two were my first fancy dress knife/office-carry folders (though I don't work in an office) & I enjoy carrying/using them both (the Kapara, especially, just feels like a class above any folder I have in terms of fit and finish). I grabbed the recently discontinued K390 LeafJumper because I'm a fan of the (also-discontinued) RockJumper & wanted one before it disappears from regular retail altogether. Got the Temperance LW Sprint because I've always wanted a Temperance & the Sprint is actually quite a bit more affordable than the originals I've seen for sale on the secondary market. As for the Bodacious, I grabbed one because I wanted a slicier version of the Shaman (I love the Shaman, but prefer a thinner blade for a work knife).
Only two new to me models for me that I remember. SpyMyto flash batch and a Yojimbo (from the online seconds sale)
I'm not really voting for anything with my wallet. I have more Spyderco models (and lots of variations of models) than I can keep track of. I finally got to the point where I'm saturated. I'm glad I'm not a actual Spyderco "collector" because it's become way too difficult financially to keep up. Not too long ago I had enjoyed having all the Sage models. Now with all the new variations I've given up on that too. I don't need multiple Sage 5 variations. I have a original (which has become new favorite) and a LW and I think I'm good. I think I have 10 PM2s and I'm really not sure why. Some have been in the box since the day I received them
Most of the brand new models don't really appeal to me. I kind of want to add a Nand to my collection but not sure at almost $250. So maybe I am voting with my wallet IDK. My wallet was wide open for so long that I think I've finally realized I don't really need to keep spending money on knives that don't see the light of day very often. I guess I'm just coasting on what I already have now which is good for me
Of all the things I've lost I miss my mind the most!
Manix 2 LW
Police 4 LW (although mine happened to be the now discontinued K390 SE)
Chaparral SE
Not counting multiples of models I already owned because of “better get them before they are gone “ discontinuations (looking at you, LeafJumper) same knives but in different steels and those purchased as gifts.
6-10 seems about right, not counting multiples or variations. ‘21, ‘22 and ‘23 were about trying different steels, so a lot of PE and a lot of new models. ‘24 was a return to my happy place: SE and Delicas and Enduras and variations thereof. Bought a lot of knives this year but, as stated, not nearly as many new to me models.
Revised down to Five. One model I thought was this year was actually last year.
I bought several variants this year so don’t qualify. I did buy an Endura Sprint which is only one in collection . MG2
