This thread, well the original thread, was created during a time when dealers were truly allowed to compete with their prices and genuinely had "crazy good" deals to be found on a semi-regular basis. MAP almost killed this thread off entirely.

I have practically zero need for it but I still have a serrated Endela wharncliffe in my cart at National Knives. It's hard to pass-up for $58.50 out-the-door.

Resistance was futile; I just ordered a SE Rockjumper from Chicago Knife Works. It was a hair under $53 shipped and I just couldn't resist at that price. I'm quite excited to try the handle-forward design.

My CKW order for a Manix 2 Lwt Salt was also "lost". Per USPS tracking, "Shipping Label Created, USPS Awaiting Item" since 12/07. I went ahead and received a refund.

This is the 2nd time it's happened. I ordered the Crucarta Manix from CKW back around June. That order was canceled and my payment refunded. When I called to ask why, I was told they had two left in inventory and both had mfg. defects.

Same here, ordered Manix Salt and is lost as per USPS. Got refunded, tracking still says "Shipping Label Created, USPS Awaiting Item" 17 days later. At this point it obvious they did not have the stock to begin with and never actually sent the knives away.
