Crazy to be seeing so many "deals" still fetching the $200+ price-point, IMHO. Sure, for the cost that this knife is, no doubt that's a "deal", but that's pretty hard pressed to be considered a deal from my subjective point-of-view. I think the Spyderco pricing is starting to unfortunately reach my upper threshold limitations across much more of their line-up than I suppose I was ever perceivably aware of. Perhaps this sort of context just forced me to realize that.

I’ve been wanting a Chaparral for a long time and especially the SE version after reading reviews on this forum. It will be my first Taichung Spyderco.

Smoky Mountain Knife Works seemed to have very good prices on the knives that were on the Black Friday sale.

Same, wanted a Shaman, with the wife’s help jumped on the XPH version, will never see that low of a price on a sprint. That was all I was going to buy. But then saw the Chaparral, at that price, I could just not say no because it was second on my list to get.

Less of a “deal” but the Astute is going for a small discount at $58 both at Spyderco and BHQ. It’s one of Spyderco’s better designs. Maybe it’s time to stock up on Chinese Spydies before those tariffs hit…
