Re: The Show youre manixes thread.
My most recent purchase. The REC exclusive Manix 2. It's a factory second, and other than a slightly uneven edge bevel, there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with it. (I was able to fix the edge easy enough) The action is great. The blade is centered. I really like the REC OD green and dark earth color combo. Not to mention CTS-204P! What's not to like about this knife?
Of course I had to put the LynchNW clip on it

Took an updated family photo. I regret not getting the 20CV mystic green Manix from a few years back. At that time I was turned off by the pinned construction, but realize in hindsight that it would probably have been just fine.

This one completes my attempt to have all the first Manix first release models . This one came out of my best friend’s collection so I will leave the scales as is to honor him . Dan

the best Manix Spyderco ever made, and for me it's not even close:

I love my gen 2's but these were on a different level. Better ergonomics, more impressive fit and finish, etc

I still feel fortunate having just one and agree it would be great if they would ever do a Sprint . Dan

Re: The Show youre manixes thread.
Never had the pleasure (yet) to hold/use a gen 1. The backlock will remain one of the strongest locks out there. I was wondering about the ergo's compared to the Manix 2. The pommel is the main difference from what I can tell from photo's. What are the biggest differences? Is the sizing a bit different in anyway?

Hi Paul , Vivi has bigger hands than me , I wear a size large glove . I find the Xl and C95 more comfortable in hand a little more room and not locked in as much as the Manix 2 . Trade off is larger of course in pocket . I never carry anything but a folder in left pocket so not really an issue with me . After all these years still love the sound of the knife locking in . Thanks Dan! Was just looking at the specs of the OG Manix. Considering that and the pommel, it has more in common with the Manix 2 XL in my perception. Hope to find one some day!Manixguy@1994 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 17, 2024 2:20 pmHi Paul , Vivi has bigger hands than me , I wear a size large glove .
