When I buy a new knife sooner or later I disassemble them. Not only for maintenance but also out of curiosity. With the Amalgam I wasn't expecting anything exciting, however I found something i've not seen before. Where the liner meets the stop pin you can see a piece of reinforcement. There is a cutout in the scale to nest it. It looks like a piece of Meccano
Nice picture Paul , really disappointed there has not been an exclusive from a dealer , such a great knife . Dan

Thanks Dan! Apollo got some nice scales on his Not that many options to buy scales for the Amalgam. I've found G10.it and RC bladeworks but that's about it. Did Apollo got his from G10.it? I did find a gunstock manufacturer in the US that will make a free pair of scales if you send in the original ones. He will make a 3d scan so he can start producing them. Might be interesting? https://gungrips.org/free-grips-scales/ ... ee-scales/

I believe Apollo is a big Cuscadi fan . I like their work but I don’t speak German . RCBladeworks would be my go to if I do and other models . Custom scales I have now on knives are RGT but he is drifting away from letting hand options .
