Thyssenkrupp TSP 3W appears to be a PM steel similar to Cruwear or PD#1.

Thoughts on Thyssenkrupp TSP 3W as a mule candidate?
Re: Thoughts on Thyssenkrupp TSP 3W as a mule candidate?
Why ask Spyderco to use another steel similar to CPM Cruwear? Is it just curiosity? Maybe the steel is cheaper/easier to grind? I mean, I don't think we should stop just because we have Cruwear, but I'm interested in what motivates those who love their Mules.

Why? Who can tell really? But what I have seen includes Mules in M390 and it's analog 20cv. Also, if the batch did not fail, there would be a 204p Mule too. Cru-wear already has the Pd#1 analog. So, to me it is not a stretch. Why do it? Maybe it is only for another data point.
Personally, I love the Mules because I can have one scale set and swap it around effectively having many knives for a lower cost. I have made my own scales and gifted complete knife and sheath combos. So, there is a pride enabler that goes around. I expect there are some others lurking around that would have their own unique feelings if a steel they suggested got made into a Mule. Or a ceramic .
Of course there is every other Mule where we can compare edge retention, toughness, corrosion resistance, balanced blades, and specialties...
Why? Because it's cool. Dude, it's just banging on sooo many levels.
