Practicing nollie bigspins.

The first four nicer single blade pocket knives I bought were a Buck 110, a CRKT kit carson liner lock of some sort, a Spyderco Delica and a Spyderco Military.

I'd still put the Military and 110 on my list of most ergonomic folders, all these years later.

Definitely he best color way. Not a fan of coating but I really like the new Endura with PD1. Debating if I should grab the Delica as well before they disappear. Is there a way to take off the coating?

I never have tried , have no issues with coated blades . Years ago used a friend’s sandblaster on a cheap CRKT folder and under coating was not a pretty sight . Used it as a beater and eventually gave it away . Dan

The coating really doesn't seem to make a difference in performance. If your knife is sharp, it shouldn't matter. If it's a visual preference thing...learn to like it haha!

I might be the minority here but I love a well worn DLC blade. I also really like Kershaw's Blackwash stonewashed coating and I wouldn't mind if Spyderco did something like that.

I agree! I used to have a Kershaw Cryo that had that blade finish. Looked good and hid any kind of scratches.

Morning cardio session

Coatings definitely affect performance for me.

They significantly reduce corrosion, not just on DLC blades but also painted hardware and liners.

They also increase friction on certain materials. Cut some apples in half with two of the same knife sharpened the same way, one DLC and one not, you'll notice a difference.

Worth it to me for the corrosion resistance. Models like the Manix XL with all the hardware coated are close enough to Salts that I don't have to worry about my sweat like I do satin blades with uncoated liners.

I'm really glad Spydsrco made the change on DLC models to coat all the hardware (usually....m4 yojumbo was an outlier).

No worries about clipping this Millie IWB to my running shorts after a 2 hour kickboxing session.

I do like the aesthetics of coated blades. Just not used to them so it’s different. I forced myself to pick one up to try it out. Thinking about grabbing the Delica
