I don't follow college football, but I know there was a ton of hype around this kid the past couple years....I didn't realize he hasn't even been a starter yet!? What's the hold up??
No real hold up.....he's young, he makin millions already - but, Ewers is a junior and very good actually- Arch Manning is a Red Shirt Freshman
There's just really no hurry- imo more a business decision than anything
I think the only way Arch will start is if Ewers get permanently injured for the season
Things are just totally different now Rick - you wouldn't believe man.....there's no more PAC12 - ****, Stanford is in the ACC now and Southern Cal is in the BIG10
Two NFL games on the week 3 schedule that I think are very interesting are the Saints vs the Eagles and later the Cowboys vs the Ravens. I think both of those games have huge implications for this early part of the regular season. And both games could be extremely important for the teams involved.
And both games could be devastating to the losers. It's kind of rare that you would have two games with this much importance this early in the season. I do think that the Saints are for real. And I do think that both the Cowboys and the Ravens have been a huge letdown to their respective fans. But these two games will be watched by many fans>> even people that aren't even fans of these teams will be interested to hear the outcome.
Speaking of those two aforementioned games with the Eagles and Cowboys>> I'm feeling bold enough to make a prediction.
If the Eagles and/or the Cowboys lose today I think there might be two coaches already on the chopping block. At the end of this week 3 game schedule I'll be surprised in Sirianni and McCarthy both still have their jobs by Monday afternoon. I think it is feasible that both coaches could be in the unemployment line within the next 48 hours. And I think it's highly possible that the Eagles and the Cowboys could both suffer devastating loses today. Actually I'll be surprised if either one of them win today.
It's going to be interesting to see how this might play out needless to say.
Very weird start to the season, and some big time injuries across the board already. I feel like it usually takes a few weeks for teams to start to show who they really are. But definitely some glaring issues for some of the "top teams" in the league. A 1-2 or or 0-3 start is unacceptable for a handful of the teams going into today.
Anyone else see that conveniently not called, clear and obvious, pass interference on Kyle Pitts in the end zone? It's just funny that even with such a blatant penalty, it gets ignored in favor of the golden boys but the questionable call in an extremely similar situation during last weeks game against the Bengals gets called in favor of the golden boys... I just don't understand how so many people can't see the patterns that have come together - It has to be by choice.

I hear ya, Nick!
I wonder the exact same thing about other things in our society- and I've come to the conclusion, that's it's absolutely by choice!
But, yeah man just like you say, it's very obvious as well
I'm not watching near the games I did last year
With all these dam betting commercials and what not, I'm really gettin over the NFL quicker than I thought
If I wasn't so heavily invested in fantasy football, I probably wouldn't care as much about the game overall either. My Giants typically aren't very good or fun to watch...though they've impressed me the past two weeks, especially Nabers...that kid is legit!

Fantasy football would be a lot fun but, I've never taken the time to see how it works
It's not really gambling is it Rick?

You just pay whatever the entry fee of your league is, prior to the season. The leagues I play are $75-$200. Then normally the team that finishes 1st in the regular season via record and/or 1st via points, win some money at seasons end before the fantasy playoffs. Then normally the champion and runner up win money.
I play in 4 leagues, so it definitely keeps me busy with a lot of research and adjustments. But I love it! Makes the most boring matchups fun and interesting when you have a player or players going in the game.
I mentioned and wanted to get a league going with people here on the forum a couple years ago, could be a free league just for fun and talk smack...but it never gained any steam.
It really is. Like tonights game with the Bengals and Commanders, if I were an average fan I probably wouldn't care much. But, I have Terry McLaurin going in a league and then I'm also playing against Tee Higgins.
But when you're a lunatic like me and play multiple leagues, you're bound to have a guy in one league, but then end up playing against him in another league, so it's tough to cheer hahaha. Can't be totally enjoyable without a little suffering
Yup, the writing is on the wall for your ole boy....
Pittsburgh is 3-0 & Trevor Lawrence & Doug Pederson are down 34-3 at the half.....
It's like im King Midas in reverse- everything I predict turns to chit
Lol, ill never understand it...
I've been watching the Cincinnati/Washington game and they're showing the score from the Jacksonville/Buffalo game on screen as well. I was just about to say "Maybe Jacksonville should put in Mac Jones and take out Trevor Lawrence..." as a joke - Then I tuned into the game and Mac was taking a first down snap... Fumble. I know he's better than that and still think he deserves a second chance in the league. Anyway, I don't know how long he has been playing tonight but the irony was too funny to ignore.
Well it looks as though I may have been a bit premature in my prediction of Mike McCarthy getting axed. But I still don't think it will be much longer. If the Cowboys lose their next game or maybe their next two games that might just do it. I said to everyone I know that giving DAK that megabuck contract was a huge mistake. He just can't win any really important games at all.
I don't think Mike McCarthy will be the Cowboys coach by Thanksgiving. And I think that is a really safe bet.
