I'm only buying stuff to restore it later. Often rusty, missing parts, cracked wood...you name it. That's one of my winter hobbies. I have some basic, utilitarian firearms too, but they are just tools. My love is with basement restorations.

The new bodyguard 2.0 is fantastic. My range has one but none in stock yet, but got to take it for a test drive. Wife has a bodyguard 1.0 and it fixes all the negatives of that model.

Beautiful guns posted. Love that 8.6 and those old school restorations.

I picked up one of these for labor day... I've quickly spent about double the purchase price in upgrades add ons, and mags already getting it to mimic a gun I've always loved the MP5SD... trying to get SBR and suppressor paperwork started in the morning. It never ends.

Armalite AR10 TAC16
Really love this rifle - just a super nice rifle.
Got an Athlon Ares ETR UHD 4.5-30x56 on her
Cannot say enough about this scope!
Glass quality is as good as the Steiner T6xi
Tracks like a sumbi#!$ !
And ridin on top, a Lon Humphrey Parabellum in his 52100 steel
That's a whole lotta fun on that tailgate!

Bonus points if you know what this is
and what went wrong.

Definitely a trigger & ambi safety lever - not sure what went wrong other than needing re-assembled

We have a winner!

I mucked up installing the trigger assembly
and broke the IDS spring.
It's all back together now.
May test fire it this afternoon.

It must not be that unusual
because Franklin Armory included a spare.
They also sell a kit
that has five of those little springs
a replacement slave pin and ambi sticker!

It was my first time to disassemble
and reassemble my DPMS AR-15
which I have had for a while but never shot.
The summer of 1968 at Fort Sill
was the only time I ever shot one.
Qualified Sharpshooter.

I've got a red dot on the way
to help these old eyes.

If by FA you mean full auto, it is not.
Binary fires one on trigger pull,
one on trigger release.

And I forgot I did get to shoot an M-16
on full auto at Armor Officer Basic
at Fort Knox, Kentucky the fall of 1969.

Doh!

Just function fired it and it works.
Burns through ammo at a high rate.
A barbeque gun if there ever was one.

Got back to the house
just in time to hear Harris
promise to ban assault rifles.
Wait until she gets a load of this.

Honestly, save your money
and shoot somebody else's.
It was just an itch I wanted to scratch.

Armorers are required to put the sticker on
but gun owners are not.
Because I have children and grandchildren who shoot
and I also have another AR-15, a pistol,
I decided the prudent thing to do
would be to put the sticker on.

Anyway, would not want anyone
to think that I was non-binary.

That is really cool Mac! Congratulations!
I'd love to try a Binary Trigger one day.
And, I really do agree with leaving the orange sticker on the rifle
Exactly for the reasons you listed

Speaking of triggers I couldn't be more happy with my Triggertech- dang thing is amazing!
Adjustable from 1.5 to 5 pounds and absolutely no creep - super short reset that feels really nice too
I can't recommend a Triggertech enough

The Mrs. picked up a Sig p365 with 3-12 round mags and a really bizarre Kydex holster.
The only issue is a can’t use it till Fathers Day. I’m excited, been lusting for this gun
for a few years now. Don’t need it, just wanted it.

Did you get to play with the 365 today? How'd she run? I bagged they Plain Jane model pretty soon after they hit the streets. It's been trouble-free the whole time. Eventually I slapped on a Wilson grip frame and fiberoptic sights, not because the gun needed it, I just wanted it. The gun also got a flat trigger to match the full flat grind knives I carry in my pocket. Since you mentioned the twelve rounders, you might be interested in the Magguts magazine spring/follwer upgrade. It allows you to stuff 12 rounds into the 10 round magazine. In my experience, the Magguts kits always improve functionality over factory magazines. Don't ask me how they do it. It might be magic.
Finally got the Sig P365 out yesterday. I put about 125 rounds of target ammo thru it with
No malfunctions. I was shooting at about 25ft at an aluminum pie pan. I managed to hit
The pan about 75%. I’m very pleased and my army buddy said he was going to pick
One up this weekend!

Binary triggers are a blast. There are also super safeties and FRTs that hopefully make a come back after recent court rulings show that they are not machine guns.

I picked up a new bodyguard 2.0 finally to upgrade my wife's original bodyguard. They fixed all the negatives of the first one and it's so nice I'm likely going to pick up another for my daughter and myself.

Congratulations on the S&W!!
Man, I was made a believer at a lgs about week or two ago.
Handled one and it was just phenomenal
Blew that Sig P365 outta the water imo-
Had hands down the best striker fired trigger I ever pulled, was optics ready and had nice night sights as well - all for under 5 bills

Nice. I have one reserved at my local shop, so whenever they get a new shipment in I'll be getting the call. Will make a great CCW from the looks of it. The LCP Max was cool but S&W has much better build quality, and I've never had a S&W turn into a rust bucket after one day of summer carry like my Max did.
May you find peace in this life and the next.
