I mucked up installing the trigger assembly
and broke the IDS spring.
It's all back together now.
May test fire it this afternoon.
It must not be that unusual
because Franklin Armory included a spare.
They also sell a kit
that has five of those little springs
a replacement slave pin and ambi sticker!
It was my first time to disassemble
and reassemble my DPMS AR-15
which I have had for a while but never shot.
The summer of 1968 at Fort Sill
was the only time I ever shot one.
Qualified Sharpshooter.
I've got a red dot on the way
to help these old eyes.
Finally got the Sig P365 out yesterday. I put about 125 rounds of target ammo thru it withRustyIron wrote: ↑Sun Jun 16, 2024 10:20 pmgrasshopper wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2024 3:42 pmThe Mrs. picked up a Sig p365 with 3-12 round mags and a really bizarre Kydex holster.
The only issue is a can’t use it till Fathers Day. I’m excited, been lusting for this gun
for a few years now. Don’t need it, just wanted it.
Did you get to play with the 365 today? How'd she run? I bagged they Plain Jane model pretty soon after they hit the streets. It's been trouble-free the whole time. Eventually I slapped on a Wilson grip frame and fiberoptic sights, not because the gun needed it, I just wanted it. The gun also got a flat trigger to match the full flat grind knives I carry in my pocket. Since you mentioned the twelve rounders, you might be interested in the Magguts magazine spring/follwer upgrade. It allows you to stuff 12 rounds into the 10 round magazine. In my experience, the Magguts kits always improve functionality over factory magazines. Don't ask me how they do it. It might be magic.
Binary triggers are a blast. There are also super safeties and FRTs that hopefully make a come back after recent court rulings show that they are not machine guns.
Congratulations on the S&W!!JestersHK wrote: ↑Sun Sep 15, 2024 7:37 amBinary triggers are a blast. There are also super safeties and FRTs that hopefully make a come back after recent court rulings show that they are not machine guns.
I picked up a new bodyguard 2.0 finally to upgrade my wife's original bodyguard. They fixed all the negatives of the first one and it's so nice I'm likely going to pick up another for my daughter and myself.
Nice. I have one reserved at my local shop, so whenever they get a new shipment in I'll be getting the call. Will make a great CCW from the looks of it. The LCP Max was cool but S&W has much better build quality, and I've never had a S&W turn into a rust bucket after one day of summer carry like my Max did.JestersHK wrote: ↑Sun Sep 15, 2024 7:37 amBinary triggers are a blast.
