Ya, can't recommend the P4 in this configuration enough. Well worth it. Great knife.

Please sell me on the P4 over the S2XL. I have a S2 LW in K390 and I like the blade shape so I figured the XL in PD#1 would be similar. Your thoughts are appreciated.

I'm not the person you originally addressed, however I really like the P4 platform. This is the model that opened my eyes to big knives not feeling big. Despite it's length, it does not dominate your pocket since the knife isn't all that tall. Nor does it feel as big in hand. The handle is long enough that you can get a comfortable grip by holding the knife in a variety of ways.

I don't have a Stretch 2 XL, so I cannot compare the two directly. But I am a fan of the P4. I think it is an overlooked model.

The P4 actually feels like an XL knife, while the SXL doesn't. The latter is basically the same size as an Endura while the Police is the longest bladed model spyderco has offered on a regular basis for years.

Police ergos fit my hand better and the blade shape works better for me. Long sweeping gradual belly VS straight edge then a more abrupt belly on the SXL.

The Police feels more solid due to liners.

Both are great knives but I sold my Stretch XL Salt in favor of Pacific Salts and Catchermans.

The Police is one of the only folders Spyderco makes that never feels undersized in my grip. I'll always have at least one in my collection for that reason alone.
May you find peace in this life and the next.

Is MrKnifeGuy.com a good company to order from? I’ve only ordered from Blade HQ and Knife Center before. So just looking for feedback.

They are on the Dealer Locator List. Small shop in Utah. I've ordered from them once. A 15v PM2. It shipped same day and I had the knife 2 days later with a sticker and a coaster (the paper kind like at a Chili's restaurant). Thumbs up from me.

Got this Delica today and I’m very impressed with the edge out of the box. Will be wicked after I touch it up.

P4 is longer and slimmer, and in my opinion a better slicer. Both are excellent knives. If you have one, why not try the other?

Anyone know of any Labor Day sales for the Police 4? I'm tempted to pick up a back up.

I wouldn't expect big discounts on sprint run knives, but I could be wrong.

Finally! Now I can stop checking this forum every day (until the next reveal, that is...). I've had the K390 Manbug on my keychain for over a year, and it's great, except that it's been pitting from my sweat. Uncoated Cruwear has never given me a problem though, so coated PD#1 should be great. Having a Manbug on my keys is really nice for those times that I need a knife with a small radius belly, as my primary usually has a pointier tip.

Never heard of Wyalco. Thanks for the heads up.
